check out the rumors at http://news.adcombat.news

    Rumored UFC 31 matches:
    Prelim:
    Joey Gilbert vs BJ Penn
    Steve BErger vs Tony DeSouza
    Main:
    Kevin Randleman vs Chuck Liddell
    Shoney Carter vs TBA
    Ricardo Almeida vs Matt Lindland
    Mark Kerr vs Pete Williams
    Pat Miletich vs Carlos Newton
    Pedro Rizzo vs Randy Couture

    Rumored PRIDE 13 news:
Ken Shamrock is out due to a shoulder injury and it looks like Tra Telligman will then take on Vovchanchin.

Damn, the UFC is getting some quality fights. I'm looking forward to the BJ Penn match. Almeida looked very impressive in his PRIDE debut---should be a good match. This is the first I've heard of Pete Williams vs Mark Kerr-----I really don't believe it, though, as it's almost too good to be true. But if it's true, then I'm not sure if I'd rather see Pete take on Kerr or Vovchanchin in PRIDE as Ken's replacement. However, either one will be great.
I'm damn sure rooting for Newton in his fight against Miletich and the Rizzo vs Couture fight should be good. I just wish some of these fights were 30 minutes straight without round breaks.
Let's see how Randleman does as a middleweight.

Does anyone know the date of UFC 31. I know PRIDE 13 is on 25 MAr, w/ first PPV airing in the US on 6 Apr.

    thanks

Tre Telligman's gonna fight Igor V? LOL!!!!! Of course Shamrock hurt his shoulder.... This one will not go for a full round.

Rizzo by KO over Couture (Couture will take Rizzo down a few times but will got knocked up in the process and Rizzo will KO him during one of these clinches.)
    Kerr by decision over Williams(yawn)
Newton by submission over Militech(Newton will easily dump that Croation sedation on his ass and sub him)

Oh PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE LET MILITECH FIGHT NEWTON. Newton has the advantage in this fight, and it'll be a fast and furious fight as Pat won't be able to dictate the pace IMO. I think he'll lose to carlos and I can't wait...
As for ken, I never really had my heart set on it since my favorite fights seem to fall through alot of the time.

If they don't show the BJ PENN alternate fight, I'll flip...
And I can't wait to see Almedia figh again...

I'm EXTREMELY disappointed that Ken isnt fighting. I was looking forward to this match more than any since Royce vs. Sakuraba. I wanted to see how Ken would fare against a powerhouse like Igor.

As for Newton vs. Miletich, they are both dangerous. However, I have to go with Newton because if he can tap ME out, he can tap ANYONE! *

          * that's sarcasm.

Dont put yourself down andreh. You are an elite grappler albeit a modest one.

I am very sad that Ken is not fighting Igor. This was the Royce/Sak of 2001.

              $$

What is the payday for the UFC now? Before it was sold it was only a few large per fight.

                  Great cards!

Have to go with Miletich over Newton: Like him or not, Miletich knows how to win. I look for him to dominate the striking.

Eventhough it hurts me so (picking a wrestler to lose), I have to go with Rizzo over couture. I think Rizzo will get the KO late in the fight when Couture runs out of steam.

If this card holds true, this will be an incredible UfC.

Regarding pride, what do you fellas think about Coleman vs Goes? Interesting match up to say the least! Goes supposively weighes 220 lbs at this time.

I look for Coleman to pepper those ribs on the ground (like Henderson against Goes) for the decision. I just don't see anyone subbing Coleman without fatique be ing the major factor. Coleman's improved his cardio drastically so he'll last the 20 without blowing up.

                  later

Tra "Trauma" Telligman has lost three of his last four fights. He lost to Belfort, Rizzo and Barreto, certainly no slouches there.

Tra will get thumped by Vov. He really doesn't stand a chance. I don't see why he deserves this shot at all. If it had to be someone from the Den, why not Williams.

I wonder if Shamrock got cold feet here. Vov would have been his toughest opponent yet.

For the love of all that is good please dont let Tre and Vov fight.Seriously, this WILL be the end of Tres' career(It never started) if he fights Vov.

"Trauma" thinks he's a better striker than he really is, and that's dangerous against Vov. Beofre the Rizzo fight, he was quoted as saying that he thinks he punches better Rizzo! LOL! He did connect several times in that fight but we all know what happened at the end.

I'll be surprised if this goes the distance.

A question? No doubt Kerr is fighting in the AD. So if he's fighting in both, why is BJ just fighting in the UFC?

Miletich over Newton ladies! Newton is impressive, but he hasn't proven that he can win consistantly against top competition. Miletch may be too strong for him.

Newton over Miletich. This will be the first real title defence in a while for Pat. For example did a gas station attendant with 2 years total MA experience really have a chance (thanks for a good job Piretti).

Props to the new UFC for putting up good cards (no more one-stop shopping at the Miletich camp for Piretti).
