    As far as the drill goes for simulating getting ROCKED, that sounds like it would be the closest thing to the real thing.

        what is wrong with putting on the headgear and mouthpiece and getting into the ring...with someone twice as good as you...youll get all the training you need ...your instructor is jerking you around ....its in the heat of battle that the warrior is forged..

            LOL he is actually very nice. And I have some PERSONAL sparring time reserved with him tomorrow night! He is closet to my size. Cause the second smallest guy next to me is 180+ lbs and 6'0. So that naturally leaves me and my instructor together. I just KNOW he is going to show me a thing or two...

              All of the ab drills people have mentioned are typical at the Muay Thai gym I train at. Either one or all of them plus others are done every night. I have alot of respect for my instructor. He is very stern during training, but if you get hurt, he will help you out. Or if he knows you got a little too much "love", he will make you take a rest. Getting "alotta love" if very typical in Muay Thai.
