Many traditional tkd schools are now offering ground fighting instruction. Here is a picture of an armbar from Philip Ameris/Hee Il cho tape on ground fighting. Both of these guys are tkd point fighters. Does anyone think that the grappler may be a bit low on the arm?

Thats just it.The general techniques are good. But,BJJ has gone through them just like the judo moves and improved them.I trained Korean groundfighting. When I first started BJJ I did alright .But,I would lose subs and positions.I was doing what I always did.By retraining and using what had been improved upon I did better.
Groundfighting is all over the world in most every martial art.Just that it is considered a last resort. You shouldnt even be down there.
On the other hand BJJ want it and lives it.So the moves are better.See how he has the head locked and is stretching the arm to get an armbar. It is not tight and takes alot of effort.

Foolish sports grapplers.
If you look closely you will see he is not performing an armbar at all.
Note the choke that he is applying with his shins. Not only does he have a choke he has his calf across the nostrils and mouth of the opponent therefore causing him to panic even before the choke has started to work.
You cannot see his hands but you will find that he is actually applying a brutal finger lock to the poor defensless opponent.
ARMBAR!! BWAHAHAHAHA!! This is what I would expect from people with a sport grappling mentality.

No, no, no, no. You all are wrong. The guy in the red isn't even the one doing the move!
And it's not an arm-bar. Rather, the guy on top is executing a very technical groin submission with his right hand. This has caused the bottom man's legs to involuntarily intertwine, causing them to be incapacitated.

"Tony10 MR. ANDERSON.... "
lol...I dont get it, but its funny...
hekster,
Shimora is pulling your leg. That move couldnt choke someone out in a million years. Its a sad attempt an an armbar that Gokor likes to show when the guy passes your guard. In BJJ they show it when the guy postures out of a triangle. The only problem is that this guy has his hips too far away so he isnt putting any pressure on the elbow.
