Who knows, maybe he did lose some fighting spirit along the way, I can only speculate.

Once Rickson fights and beats Sak all the haters will scream of "work" or make up some lame excuses for Saks loss.Something to the extent of oh well he had to lose someday and it just happend to be Rickson.Or they wont be satisfied,they will say well he cant beat Kerr or Coleman.They will want more,kinda like all the Gracie worshipers want Sak to keep on fighting Gracie's.True,Sak has PROVEN himself just like Rickson.There is no reason for Sak to fight Rickson.Sak has proven himself accepting all challengers.

On the other hand,Rickson has proven himself with an amazing 400+ record.Rickson shouldnt fight Sak to prove himself.Rickson needs to fight somebody like Sperry in NHB because with the Status Mario has Rickson would give him the status as the "Family Champ".Fighting Sak would be a hard fight for him because the fact is he isnt getting any younger.5-10 years ago Sak wouldnt have a chance against him but now with Rickson age shooting up Sak has about a 40-60 cance of winning.
