Thanks to my sponsors I was able to compete in this year's Pan Ams. I won Gold in the Senior 1 Purple Belt Heavy Weight, and Bronze in the Senior 1 Absoluto.

I also got to meet some cool people...Carlos Gracie Jr., Ryan Gregg, and the Machado Wild Girls...that was cool. The tournament was awesomely chaotic. It was great! A brazilian ref and a brazilian competitor almost came to blows in the front desk area, that was cool, and got to hang out with the Machado Dallas crew.

I had a couple of good matches...the one I lost is the one that I will remember the most. I had the guy in a clock choke, my finger dislocated in his gi, so I couldn't finish, then had the guy in a full arm bar, and he wouldn't tap...I looked down to see what the heck, and he escaped, passed my guard, tried to get knee ride, I countered, and then he somehow got to my back and choked me...it was great! The Machado Wild Girls were Leka, Erica, and Chris, and thats all I got to say about that

I am so glad you made it home...I was concerned about ya! You looked so much better on Sunday! I was really glad you were there. I will be at the tournament on the 28th.

Thanks! I will have some students in the kids division (young kids) and a couple of my adults will compete as well....I am just going to coach at this one, and plan on competing in Carlos' next tournament unless there is someone really cool competing on the 28th, then I may jump in...we'll see
