  • Update on my father and streetfight..

First of all I want to say a huge THANKS to everyone here for support, you guys have helped me a whole lot!

Right now my father it's been declared out of immediate danger, he's very weak and tired, but he's improving. Sadly his pulmunar disease is a degenerative one, so we must aspect him to worsening with time, but for now he's alive and that' s enough for me.

Actually it has been strange how, while he was lying in bed uncounscious, our roles had been inverted, now I was the one to surveil his sleep, catching every breath and glimpse from him, just praying for another pulse and breath... Strange feeling, many times, while lying here, I tried even desperate and maybe futile things, like sending him my energy, my breath, but who knows, maybe it has worked... Bah!

I was called at the police station, it seems that the guy I had the altercation with had great injury to the left eye, the chief told me he's risking a loss of vision, but for me he's exagerating... the guy has sued me, but the odds are HEAVILY on my side as a whole lot of customers have witnessed the accident as self defense from my part, after all is the guy the had headlocked me for first, the guy was filed from the police for previous offenses so this is another one for me.

So right now I have dropped some 12 lbs, not bad 'cause I was slightly overweighted for my standards. he he...

Ah, one last thing; I dumped the bitch I dated big time...

See ya all, thanks again, Mousel's RULE!

Good to hear things are getting better for you and your father.I wouldn't worry about the lawsuit from that guy, especially since you have witnesses that say it was self-defence.

    Good luck.

Glad to hear your dad's got some time left, Underdog. My grandmother has the same condition. Sad, but at least you have time to prepare. We all go, sooner or later.

As for the dipsh*t in your coffee shop...ha! Serves him right. Hope you don't have to pay him any lira.

          UnderDog:
great news that your Dad is doing ok.

I hope you take this oppurtunity and look back on the great times you've had with your Dad and family.

Like I said, I was there, in almost the same situation with my Dad. I look at everyday as a bonus day to spend with him, since we came so close to losing him for good.

          Good luck with the lawsuit.
hey, you're Italian, have some of the Good fellas take the guy for a ride, where he never comes back.......

          HA!, just kidding,

          Italians don't do that.............
that's just a Hollywood myth that is perpetuated in the romaticizing of specific sterotypes of certain cultures in the cinema

He, he, I just watched the Movie "Hannibal", it's filmed almost entirely in Italy, you know.

Well, Tomas Harris, the author of the novel, when depicted the guys supposed to take Hannibal captive, showed them, guess what:

                SARDINIANS!

Kidnappers from the "Supramonte mountains", well, guess another one: this place is my town.

Hint: the guys in the movies were absolute pussies compared to the real kidnappers from here.

So you begin to understand that the place where I live it's rather unique. Fighting is the absolute norm.

Underdog, I am really glad your father is doing better!
Send him my best wishes (though I doubt he'd care what some stranger from the net thinks! )

Still though that's great news. I'm happy for you and him.

.....oh yes, stab a kidnapper for me

                    Underdog:

                    How's your father doing lately?
                    just curious..........

tell your Dad that he has many fans here in the US.

My Mom is doing better each day, getting stronger and my Dad has shown some improvement too, but sometimes it's just day to day.

                        ATTN: Underdog.

I am Sardenian too. I was born in a small town called Borore in the Province of Nuoro. Nice to meet a fellow Sardenian. By the way I'm heading there this summer for a vacation.
