  • My Choice: 'JJJ + Karate' vs 'BJJ + Muay Thai'

    Hi there,
I posted this in the Japanese forum because i wanted information on the Dojo that i thought our Japanese style martial artists might know best.

But equally i think the BJJ, Muay Thai and MMA guys could add to the debate so i thought i'd put up a post here where more people would see it.

    Here's the thread: http://www.defend.net/deluxeforums/j...tml#post309889

    Thanks.

Old school Judo is essentially MMA. Lets take a look? Everyone knows Judo is a SLAMMING art that focuses on takedowns and throws.

Olympic Judo has fairly specialized this aspect of Judo. What of punching? Kicking? Grappling? Knee strikes? Elbow strikes? That's Judo too.

      Check it out...

A great resource for Judo Groundwork and Blows. Diagrams or photos of the process would have been useful here. I know of another great resource for Judo that has step by step diagrams of the combat and defence moves. see below.
