  • Maximum Exposure- Sunday night TV

Did anyone else see this show last weekend? It was on channel 13 out of Los Angeles (if I remember correctly) at nine p.m. It is one of those reality-based shows made up of different video clips. I just happened to stumble on it while channel surfing and it was awesome. They had security camera footage of stabbings, beatdowns, assaults etc. They had Russian soccer riots with the cops wadding into the crowd kicking ass, then the crowd cut the cops off from support and starting kicking the snot out of the cops, then the reinforcements came in and turned the tables again. They had American Football brawls, gang jump ins, bar fights, outside the pub at closing time fights, chick fights, (vicious bitches) on and on. The surveillance camera footage of a security guard getting shanked over and over by a would be robber was painful to watch. He was finally saved when two of the guys working behind the counter starting beating the **** out of him with a mop handle and a bar stool. Everything was broken down and replayed in slow motion numerous times. I couldn’t believe they got this show on the air. I don’t know if its like this every week, but they showed some footage from this coming Sunday’s show of some guy taking a baseball bat to a dude speeding by on a motorcycle. Ouch. I hate it when that happens.

Anyway, it was real people in real fights, and if its true that 90 some % of all fights go to the ground these guys must have had a camera on every single fight in existence that didn’t go to the ground. The only thing on the ground was a cop that got jumped and did a double leg, but he had to jump up immediately and retreat when another guy came at him. They did have a whole lot of people going to the ground after taking that first shot. Typically while there they got the living shit kicked/stomped out of them by the guy who landed the sucker punch or people coming out of the crowd.

Over and over again you saw the first punch deciding the fight. The show definitely highlighted the fact that if you want to win a street fight, land that first sucker punch.

I would assume that the show has a different focus every week, but the general theme running through the show seemed to be sadistic voyeurism. I figured it was right up your guy’s alley, you sick bunch of twisted assholes. Maximum Exposure is the name of the show and I believe in LA its coming on again Sunday at 9 on channel 13. Enjoy.

    Love and kisses,

    Mickey.

That show is on every sunday where I live, and it consistently proves that "the firstest with the mostest is the bestest." Everything from fights to riots to people fuc*ing themselves up doing all manner of ignorant stuff are common on the show, and they have to show it late nights to avoid complaints from the prime time watchers. Set your VCR to record it, and check some of this stuff out! It's seriously hardcore, and it just goes to show that in theory, practice and reality are the same, but in reality, things can be much, much different.

Thanks Bird. I’m smoking a cigarette and looking for a towel as I type you this sweet talker you.

Hound Dog. You’re a poet. I have been a surfer and martial artist most of my life. There are times when the training is minimized and I go into a wave chasing frenzy and vice versa. Been surfing my brains loose this winter. Now I’m getting the urge to go back to some serious training.

You called it MJKD. Set them up, land the first big shot and split before the cops get there.
