Pat on the back, or high five...? You did good buddy!

I was actually expecting that very throw just a few seconds earlier but you got the FEEL for his footwork and pulled it off the next time. (SUPER)

      two thumbs up!!!
The form was rather sloppy since I was always yelled at to never do Osoto-Gari first 30 seconds of a match soo against a black belt I was really hesitant to do it. In the end I kinda just said "screw it" and went for it, I did it almost like an ouchi-gari movement though because I was expecting a counter, at least it still worked out .

Dude... seriously! Trust your instincts. I think you've got some big Ki going on!

Granted your (relatively) "new" but you develope awesome sensitivity with your BJJ (grappling "newaza") You could FEEL it the first time. I couldn't exactly SEE it in your face but I knew you could FEEL it! I say go with it! Don't HESITATE and so the hell what if it doesn't LOOK exactly like the throw you thought it was going to be! Don't ever DOUBT yourself and DON'T be afraid of a counter throw or LOSING a match!

I swear you'll appreciate losing more if you take a chance on a certain moment. and win!

The greatest THING about a belt color is that it can give your higher ranked opponent a sense of confidence.

        enjoy that...

I definitely get what you're saying; will keep that in mind!

Just got promoted to brown belt 2 weeks ago too, forgot to update you guys on that ;D. As tradition goes, everyone got to throw me once down the line, one of who was a huge 300 pound former olympian, beast of a man. Good times!

Yea, we have that tradition too. Or we get to throw anyone who shows up with a new Ghi. LOL

What is your rank system? You went from Green to Brown? Sorry about the triple post but I've been following this thread and not able to view the vids because of surf control.

The rank system we have is (for the adults) white, green, brown, black. Surf control sucks!
