Why escape? To make her tighten choke just stick tongue out

my opinion on escaping things like the rnc is dont let it get pun on you in the first place. that may sound big headed but once someone who even just has a very basic knowlege of how to do it puts it on then your getting choked out!! there called locks for a reason.
you should train for sensivity in the shoulder/head/ neck area so as soon as anyone touches you there you should shrug up your shoulders and posture your head up this will stop the thai clinch rnc head locks and just about any choke or strangle being put on.
for the rnc i would also grab the back of my head on the none choiking side of your body and try to turn into him or break out of his hooks.

Shruging the shoulders is a very effective and multi purpose move that if you get into the habit of using can help defend not only a RNC but a Guilotine,a headlock,a neck tie (single or double) and a right hand or left hook,of course the key is training it to become a habit, its a easy enough thing to do really.

You seem to prefer submissions. I'm more of a ground n pound kinda guy.

I think it's good to be trained in submissions, but I never really use them because I've only just started learning them. So ground and pound it is.

yep,i was made to walk around with my shoulders shrugged with my hands in a clinch position for what seemed like hours when i was training thai boxing in thailand to get me used to shrugging them when you clinch. when i got back to the uk and went to do some ground work i wasnt getting cought in triangles or rnc as much. its one of those simple techniques all but the best teachers seem to forget in bjj and thaiboxing to be fair.
