I currently go to a Carlson Gracie affiliated school and it's great. But, in about 2 weeks school ends and I am going back home. From where I live it would take about 45 minutes to drive to my current CG academy. But, about 10 minutes away from my house is a Ralph Gracie school where i could train 5 days a week (my current school is only 2 days). So, my question for you guys is are there major differences in the Ralph Gracie system as opposed to Carlson?

Yeah no kidding,
That would be awful being only 10 minutes from Ralph's Academy. Give me your problems and I'm a happy man-lol
Hey Jared. You can't go wrong with Ralph. He's got one of the toughest teams on the west coast.
The guy builds champions.

Dude, check out Ralph's school, there isn't any harm in going to watch and if you like what you see, take the free class (that is assuming that Ralph's school is like most BJJ schools where you are offered a free first class) and ask a bunch of questions, to the instructor(s) and the students.
Philisophy in training, competition...etc. will be important in what you want and expect out of your training.
A school may be just across the street from where you live, but if it's not what you want out of training, why bother..............
but on the other hand with gas now over $2 per gallon, the extra miles you don't use will be a good savings towards your training or that extra pizza, siz pack...etc.

gosh, I've got ralph 2 miles from me, charles 3 miles from me, carley 4 miles from me, and a royce TA 1.5 miles away...
and I don't even train now!
guess that's what happens when you're 30. I hope to be going back very soon though after a 4 year layoff.
