i've asked this before (about a year or so ago) but I thought i'd ask again since there's probably new faces around now.
Does anybodies BJJ school still teach the self defence techniques that you might have seen during the Rickson and Royler Pride demo? There's also a video on youtube of the Migliarase (sp) brothers demoing the same techniques.
You know, stuff like escapes from a) rear bear hug, b) front bear hug c) side standing headlock etc
I think this stuff could still be useful in terms of being familiar with positions that an untrained person may spring on you but none of the BJJ schools i have visited seem to teach them anymore.
Is learning escapes or attacks from these positions still valid?
