    Hello,

I will be going up to Tucson one weekend a month and will like to train up there. Does anyone know of any places to train that will be open after 3:00 pm? Or does anyone do private lessons or anything like that? Interested in Muay Thai, BJJ, Boxing, Kickboxing, Grecco Roman Wrestling. I train in my current location but just want to get experience training in other places as well.

For BJJ nothing beats Primero BJJ but not sure if they do one weekend a month or not. They do have privates though. MT there's a guy named Nike (affiliated with Apex right now which has MMA classes) and Aaron Haynes and Dayton Larsch. Boxing Inc for boxing.

IF you're looking for the best MMA that includes Muay Thai, kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Russian Sambo, submission grappling boxing, Wrestling and traditional boxing, check out Team X1 Sports and fitness. Mike Whitehead opened the gym in Tucson recently. He trains and I believe has or does still corner some of the best UFC, Strikeforce and other top organization elite world champion fighters like Frank Mir, Wanderlei Silva, Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, Forrest Griffin. He is an active fighter. The website says he's currently 26-7. He has fought Rashad Evans, Keith Jardine, Tim Sylvia, Kevin Randleman, Ben Rothwell, Renato Sobral, Brandon Vera and other top UFC guys. He's compared to Forrest Griffin when it comes to training so that's as high as a compliment as you can get since Forrest is known for being the first in the gym and the last to leave. I went there a few weeks ago and met Frank Mir and Wanderlei Silva. I heard Mike mention that Forrest Griffin and Frank are coming back in the next Month. Mir mentioned he is training again with Mike for his fight against Roy Nelson. Mike seems to be a great guy and has a lot of respect in the MMA game. HOWEVER, IF you're looking for a gym with lots of weights, this not the place to go at this point. They're all about the fitness and Pro MMA training! Its also cool since you can get in your cardio kickboxing and boxing classes before their MMA class. Its on the corner of Grant and Alvernon. In the Fry's Shopping Center. Their website is cool and informative X1 Sports and Fitness, Kickboxing and MMA Phone is 209-BOXN
      Good Luck!
