  • Tell me about your last streetfight.

Just curious if anyone has any stories from experience on the street. I have a couple but my last was a couple years ago and wasn't really a fight. I was at a friend's house one night when she and her boyfriend got into a fight. they were both drunk but he started punching her, and I mean belfort style. I used a dead weight standing rear naked which lasted about four seconds. As soon as he felt it he stopped punching, turned 90 degrees, took 3 steps and then fell. Then it was all over.

Am I the only person here so has never been in a street fight? I hear all your guys' stories about 'em so they sound common. It seems like there are two kinds of people in this world: people who HAVE gotten into streetfights, and people who never do. Do u guys think that streetfights arise out of nowhere, or that the FIGHTERS create the fight? I think it's usually(not always) the people involved, because i know that I could have been involved in a few fights, but I chose to walk away.

I think if you look at it from one person's point of view, then they do arise out of nowhere. You become involved in a situation that suddenly is worth fighting for (ex: self defense). From the other guy's point of view, if they go around creating situations then some day they are going to get what they are asking for (ex: an unexpected weapon or getting jumped by someone's friends).

My last "street" fight was in 3rd grade on loose gravel during recess. I came at him punching and either my forward momentum pushed him down or he dropped to his back on purpose, where he started kicking up at my ribs. I was having trouble getting around his legs to punch and took a few kicks to the stomach, but finally grabbed his pants and pushed his leg aside and kind of layed on him/pinned him and hit him in the face until it was broken up. My first and last street fight

Not a strict streetfight, I had the luck of keeping it in the school locker room.

It was over a girl, a guy was really bothering her and basically it was sexual harassment. I confronted him and I gave him a left lateral elbow strike to the jaw.
          KO!

Uh...not a streetfight, but kinda a challenge match with an experienced streetfighter who was 6'3, 195 or so. He's a friend of mine though, so there wasn't any animosity. I got mount and finished with ude garame. Twice. That was about 2 weeks ago.

            YeLLa, you're getting dangerous
(good to stick up for the ladies though)

sounds like an episode of walker: texas ranger. except he would have used the spinning back kick. and it would have probably been in the woods. and that black guy would have been there too.

o man...my last "streetfight" was almost two weeks ago and it was like something out of a movie! This HUGE dude (like 6'2 220) comes up to me and starts talking about my mestre (master) because apparently he had some conflict with him. So i' tell him to stop talking or he will regret it so he pushes me i push him back and then he punches me right on the jaw...by then there was kind of a crowd because there had been some ternsion between us before...anyway i ask "everyone saw him hit me first" and they are like yeah so i like shake that punch off and rock him with a solid right hook i take him down with a tesoura (scissors) and mount him and start raining punches! that guy turns around and gives me his back! So i just put the hooks in and work until i get the choke, well since this guy was all talk u all could imagine what happened then....goodnight!

Even tho fighting isnt the best way out, u gotta do what ya gotta do

No Walker would of grabbed the doorway and swung his legs into the guy's chest! Then of course the bad guy draws his gun, Walker then would completely ignore the gun his has holstered at his side and do a cresent kick to knock the gun out of the bad guy's hand. THATs when the back kick comes in!

I beat the crap out of some fat martial arts instructor down in Globe, AZ. This guy got abusive to a 7-11 clerk over their lack of Hostess(tm) selection. I had to show the fat-ass him what time it was.

Almost got into one last night at 3:00 AM! A guy from under my apartment rings the doorbell waking my wife and me up. He asks threateningly why we're making so much noise, and practically pumps his chest into me. I said we've been asleep and asks him why he's threatening us when he's not even sure we were the ones making the noise.

He apologized and backed off but I was ready for the single-leg takedown. The guy seems like a head case - kind of unstable. He was all dressed up in a skin tight bacl T-shirt and designer jeans. I'm filing a police report just in case this happens again and I have to take him out.

I haven't gotten into a street fight for over 12 years and I agree with JaredExtreme. A lot of it depends on you. But last night proved ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

yella, i agree with your hypothetical walker scenario. but a viet nam flashback wouldn't hurt.
