Well I did no-gi submission grappling; when I first started it was 1X/week then 2X/week and then I ramped it way up a few months ago b/c I had the summer off, but now I want to switch to gi, probably 2-3 times a week, and a purple gi isn't a rank like a belt, it's just a gi color.

I have noticed that most of the really good BJJ guys have blue gis though; what's up with that?

Oh my bad, in my head whenever I see the words "I'm getting a purple...." I just assume it's a belt .

I wanted to get the orange gi but I think that might've been too much for the Judo folk I work with lol.

One of the guys from Team Reno had a camo gi. I almost didn't see him there.

I tried to train twice a day five days a week over the summer. It was less than that though. Probably an average of 4 or so times a week, plus I went to an SBGi seminar and spent half a week at an SBGi affiliate in Berkeley.

Not sure how much my game's improved but I lost a couple inches just moving my carb-heavy foods to a post-workout meal...

Once school starts I want to do two or three days of gi, plus I'll be coaching a kid's fitness class for an hour three days a week, plus I'm coaching a mobility/recovery class... And then my weight work....which right now is New Rules of Lifting for Women. That's gonna be about 15 hrs a week; yikes!

That's a pretty full plate. I bet it keeps you out of trouble.

I hope so! I'm hoping it's not too ridiculously busy. Thinking of switching the two classes to twice a week instead of three times...

The white turns a really ugly brown color.

And if you bleach it it turns a gawd awful piss yellow. Or at least my TKD one did.

Well maybe you shouldn't have pissed on it.

They used to use piss as bleach. At least, that's what I heard at the Pompei exhibit.

I guess if the amount of ammonia in it was enough it might work similar to it.

                              Tough marketing challenge, though...

"New PISS! With extra ammonia! Once you've pissed your clothes, you know urine for some mighty clean laundry!"
