I think the immediate rematch is a great idea.

Not only because I want to see it and see Fedor back on top.

But for Strikeforce, it would be huge too. The only guy to every beat Fedor, submit him no less, in a rematch. I don't know how many watched it last time, but I'm sure the number of views and the attention would be enormous. And you can't really count viewers because people who don't have Showtime would go somewhere where it's available. If they could get that on CBS, even better.

Werdum vs Overeem is a good matchup, but it's already happened and Werdum subbed him. The SF belt is of secondary importance. Fedor's loss and the drama around it is what Strikeforce can use to bounce up with. Even better if they could get Nick Diaz, Robbie Lawler, and any other exciting fighters on the same card.

Strikeforce is undermining the value of it's own HW title with this. Stupid. Next thing you'll know everyone is whining again that Overeem isn't defending his title. Well, kinda hard to defend it when everyone is avoiding him.
