I mastered ninjitsu watching the America Ninja movies.

    Micheal Dutakoff is my master!

Many people study ninjutsu so they can pretend to be dangerous! How easy is it to claim that what you do is so deadly that you could never prove it by actually having to get on the mat and showing someone what you can do?

you can say that in any art.
I have seen people say that in Ju Jitsu, but they cant do squat.

I thank that Ninjitsu has some very grat capabilities, but it is not at all like the movies, anyone who says they can be a ninja by watching american movies is just stupid.
People used to say that about Kung Fu and Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan, but it is not true.

Ninjitsu is not a flashy art, like Taekwondo.
It is made for assisinations, and Special Operation/Commando type missions.
it is like an ancient oriental version of Navy SEAL training.

I trained in Ninpo for well over a decade! I wish now that I had of found a decent JKDC teacher and Grappling instructor before that! But, I wanted to pretend that I was doing Ninja stuff and so on! If you want to be as Bad-Ass as the SEALS, then go that route, but don't believe that you are a shadow-warrior by dressing in black and playing with what Hatsumi or someone else made up!
Still, there are a lot of skilled teachers out there! I don't know where you are located. If you can, check out Bud Malmstrom!!! Meantime, ask anyone you meet how they would deal with someone taking them to the ground or with a knife! If it looks like they can only make it work with a student who moves right for them, then look elsewhere!

I dont think I can be a "shadow warrior"
what I really want to do is get some Ninjitsu training, and augment it with BJJ.

or if I could find a JKD teacher, that would work too, but I like the Japanese arts better so far.

Oh, does it smell funny down there?

There's not much to chose from down there at ISU.

                        Check out:

It's in Boise, but it's closer than anything else I know of.

Also, searching for NINPO, I found:

                        Twin Falls, Idaho U.S.A.

Sifu James (Li Shan Fang) Kavajecz
                        Hidden Phoenix
                        Twin Falls, Idaho
                        #91 Eagle Hall, P.O. Box. 1238 83303
                        Ph208)734-0608
                        E-mail:grayphoenix@hotmail.com

I don't know thing one about either of these schools, but if you find out anything let me know. I am going to be running a website for Martial Arts in Idaho by Christmas. So any info would be greatly appreciated.

There also might be a few in Northeren Utah that are closer than either of these.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

                        Later,

                        SZ

                          thanks a bunch.
Unfortunatly, I will not be able to join any of these schools for quite some time, as I cannont yet move out of poky.

                            Can you say Road Trip?

Come on, Twin is only a 2 day trip by bicycle.

Go up once a month and get some lessons, then practice like heck!

I'll keep looking. I don't think there is much going on in Pokey, but Idaho Falls has multiple schools. Whether or not they are Ninjitsu is another matter....
