What if boxing had no rounds?

What do you guys think boxing matches with no rounds / no time limits would look like. Of course there would still be separations of clinches to make sure it stays a boxing match. They would simply box until someone was knocked out, either a competitor or his corner conceded the match, or the referee stopped the match.

Do you think certain styles would be favored in this format?

How about K-1 or Muay Thai Kickboxing?

Ever watch a heavyweight boxing match between less experienced heavier, heavyweights? Even though the ref breaks clinches sometimes all they do is lay on each other, that's what it would come to eventually.

Iamdoomsday - Someone would have to get knocked out eventually. Someone collapsing from exhaustion could be taken as a knockout.

I didn't say that wouldn't happen eventually, but these fights would suck if they went on and no one wants to see that. the sport would die.

Still, haven't you ever wondered what would have happened if certain rounds hadn't been ended by the bell in some of the boxing matches you have watched or if certain matches hadn't gone to decision?

Originally boxing didn't have rounds! Just keep at it until one or the other was knocked out or suitably unable to fight!

The longest boxing match went 6 hours and 15 minutes in 1855, it was fought bareknuckle.

see theoretically it sounds good, but i'm not watching anyone box for six hours, what if it was a pay-per-view it would be worse than tyson-sphinx first round ko.

Personally, as a spectator, I think it would be great, as they would have to fight for a decisive win, not just a JD. All this scoring points garbage really puts me off boxing and, to an extent, modern MMA.
However, I'm not sure it would benefit the boxers' health.
