Not really for or against the Lion's Den. They did look pretty lame when they were walking around in their "Public Enemy, Chuck D" fatigues, black shirt, and Beret hats back in New Orleans UFC.

I don't even cheer until a fights over but if some cat wants to chant "USA" or whatever during a fight, it's his perrogative.

It has nothing to do with disrespect whether the Brazilians or whoever brought NHB to the US. It's just fan participation. Do you not think that the Brazilians rooted against US fighters when our fighters participated in Vale tudo?

in brazil they chant "jiu jitsu", not "brazil". and even if they did favor brazilans over others they have much more of a right too. how long has nhb gone on over there and how long has it gone on here? who brought it here? who got it going here? who changed the way everybody trains here? you keep saying they have a right to cheer, of course they do. but it's what they cheer that shows their ignorance. when people automatically chant "usa" as soon as they see a fighter is from somewhere else, they not cheering for chunk liddel, they're cheering for the guy who doesn't happen to be from another country.

        No shit Dick Tracy!

Who are American fans supposed to root for? Fighters from other countries!

Listen bro, maybe you and I happen to know alot about these fighters and how Japanese, Americans, Brazilians, etc train with each other on a consistent basis. So, the country or Nationalism doesn't play a part for the fighters we root for. It's not the olympics!

But, you're average fan doesn't know so of course he/she is gonna root for the hometown boy. Has nothing to do with arrogance or whatever. Don't you root for teams based were you live?

        later dude....

to use your own words, "no shit"!
you're replying with what i already told you--except i never said anything about arrogance. you need to pay better attention...
it's ignorance, the same reason why they still cheered lidell not just before and during the fight, but afterwards where they all witnessed such a sorry performance, only because of where he is from.
it's largely disrespectful to murillo, who deserves better is all i'm saying.

            Ya know what bro,

This is lame debate cause it irritates me a little also when I hear USA being chanted in this type of format. It's not world cup soccer, olympics, etc where athletes are representing their countries.

But, I can understand why people chant and root for the hometown boy.
