What to do if you happen to come upon a peace rally by naive peace symbol-shirt-wearing idiots, to teach them why force is needed:

Step 1) Approach ignorant person talking about "peace" and saying there should be "no retaliation"

Step 2) Have brief conversation, ask if military force is appropriate

Step 3) When he says "no," ask, "Why not?"

Step 4) When he says, "because that would just cause more innocent deaths, which would be awful, and we should not cause more violence"

Step 5) Punch him in the face . . . hard

Step 6) When he gets up to punch you back, point out that it would be a mistake, and contrary to his values, to punch you, because he would be just increasing the violence.

Step 7) When he agrees that he has pledged not to commit violence, punch him in the face again . . . harder this time.

Step 8) Repeat steps 6 & 7 until he understands that sometimes it is necessary to punch back.

i understand everyone's feelings of nationalism and patriotism, but that doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to the misdeeds we have done. all we're doing is pointing fingers and it's only going to end up hurting and costing AMERICANS more in the long run. no matter how much we bomb afghanistan, we'll never be able to get bin laden or completely destroy his network. there will always be a few who can squeeze through the cracks.

and by the way, a guy who is willing to fly a plane into building or strap a f'ucking bomb to his chest, killing himself along the way, is AFRAID OF NOTHING. he won't fear the bombs or the death or the blood. hell, he lives in it everyday! How many AMERICANS must die for us to draw the line? So far, we've got about 5000+ people. Do we draw the line at 50,000? How about 500,000? How many 18 year old boys died in Vietnam? How many sons died? How many brothers died? How many must die for us to pull out and re-examine our role in the middle east and american foreign policy?

a better way to solve the problem would be to get rid of all the JEW BASTARDS in and around our AMERICAN government who use their influence, power, position and money to affect AMERICAN POLITICS in favor of their JEWISH IDEALS and AGENDAS. I'm not a JEW or a JEW HATER. In regards to your theory to punch a Peace Activist.

If you actually do that to a true peace activist you would prove nothing except that you had to take violent action in order to prove a your point, as opposed to convincing someone via intellegence. Punching him would actually prove his point. I know guys that would get up after the punch only to get hit again, only to get up only to get hit again and again. It is an amazing discipline but one that is the true path of non violence.

I'm hoping your proposed idea is only in theory.

However if you were serious about beating your views into him you would probably keep beating him till he is seriously injured or even dead and he would not fight back. (then ofcourse you will be facing some serious charges;^). Only when you start to get tired or when you begin to trip out on how one cannot strike back and give in to violence will you understand. You might even come to respect it as I did.

I'd like peace of course but I'm a realist. We don't know how to live in peace, but what we do know is how to blame, how to retaliate and how to kill our enemies for the illusion that it will bring peace. Mankind is just not ready to develop methods of solution that don't call for war, at least in not these times. I think mankind will have to be at the brink of it's own extintion before the true need for Peaceful solutions to all problems are realized.

If I were drafted I would definately fight but I would face the situation with the same demeanor as I would a funeral.

Please don't be mistaken folks, the true answer to all that is going on nowadays is not Blame and Retaliation but Understanding and Non Violence. The basis for this answer is Love for Mankind.

It is just that we have absolutely no idea how to make it work, that is why we are at war.

I posted the list because I thought it was funny, as did some others.

I agree with the respect you have for Peace. But most who would call themselves pacifists are hypocrites, as would be demonstrated by this little exercise.

Gandhi and King were perfect examples of peaceful warriors. But they were also fighting an enemy who was striving for peace as well. They were fighting against rage and hatred that was born of fear.

When the enemy you fight against does not wish peace, then a peaceful solution is hard to come by, would you not agree?

You can't go 2 miles from your house without experiencing fear, anger, or envy which can lead to violence. Drive in traffic and you will start to see true colors.

You cannot deprogram 2 million plus years of genetic coding in the human species with soft words and noble gestures over the course of several decades.

You have stated that mankind is not ready for that kind of peace, and I would wholly agree with you.

I respect your opinion, and the way you expressed it. Please feel free to continue along this line....
