  • Dim Mak

Tony Blauer was on Fox's "Wildest Police Videos" yesterday demonstrating some up close tactics. He employed Juru #2 from Wu Tong Temple Mindboxing followed by a classic Dim Mak strike to the Carotid Sinus referring to it as a brachial stun.

Not to make light of your post...

but my exgirlfriend was convinced I was a Dim Mak specialist. Every time I touched her, her libido died on the spot....

      Hey Bustr, what's shaking?

I learned that ancient technique called the brachial stun in 1989 at a Police PPCT instructor's course.

Gee you think they stole it from the mindboxing guys?

We also learned a cool kick called the "angle kick" that looked surprisingly like a Thai shin kick to the thigh.

Things that make you go hhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm............

      shoot me an e-mail

        Mindbxing

        Greetings and Respect Everyone,

I have been using the Mindboxing Internal Kung Fu approach and I work out with some guys here in New York who use the methods. Wow! Amazing stuff. I must admit though that when you first go to the website (Mindboxing.com) you are like. "Oh come now! Is this for real?!" Then maybe you buy the tapes. I acutally traveled to California for personal instruction a few times. I could easily see a person being turned off because the tapes make no attempt to sensationalize anything. The info is Natural System stuff and it is fantastic! I am more than willing to speak to anyone who is serious about their studies.

I won my first full contact Heavyweight Internal Kung Fu tournament using those tapes and following up by speaking to Al Colangelo. Now I teach this stuff to students including a Captain of a New York City police precinct. He loves it and sees it as a tranquilizer and Healer for stressed out officers and a way of controlling hostility without resorting to excessive violence. Al won't sell his material to everybody . He puts you through some heavy screening and I do the same with my students. Its the responsible thing to do. This ain't like the Shotokan I took as a kid. You have to work hard but you learn some very heavy material very quickly.

Earlier today I was training a new student who is 3 inches taller and externally the guy is stronger than me. He is an amazing athlete and one hell of a instinctive fighter. He lives in Brooklyn and we train in Harlem. He could sock me externally and does not hold back at all. He goes all out and is a natural street boxer and grappler type with street fighting experience. He can explode and easily take me down when I'm not using the internal.

But using Mindboxing I am able to instruct and defeat him. With Mindboxing I challenge myself to test how the principles work at a more advanced level.

By using just one hand and
        invisible low
kicks I easily manipulate and defeat him and its a very satisfying and educational process for both of us. Please contact me. I am interested in the styles being studied and
        how everyone is progressing.
I still have Lots to learn. Each One Teach One.

              Hazuki Style

I haven't heard of it. Is it Ninja related? Tell me more. Each One Teach One. By the way Masala. Cute flashing logo. Its easier and "cuter" to ridicule than it is to research.

                Thanks, you're pretty cute too!

You know, I can use my index finger and thumb to squish you from 100 yards.

                Wanna not see it again?

I checked out the mindboxing web site. I can't believe people are still pushing this kind of stuff. I know there is a sucker born every minute but come on. All I can say is if you really want people to get into mind boxing it's easy. Go to some grappling, boxing, and vale tudo events. Use your "internal energy" to "effortlessly" wipe up the competition. The next day I bet you'll have a line of people wanting to learn mind boxing. I know I know you’re probably afraid you'd really hurt the competitors.

                    I hear You Soho

I hear you dude, LOUD AND CLEAR! Because vale tudo, NHB, and bjj etc. are considered the ultimate nowadays and because most real fights (70%+) end up on the ground anyway my teacher suggested that all those who could, do exactly what you suggested. Our successes have been mentionable but people, the majority anyway, continue to react exactly like you! Reminds me of the saying, "Don't confuse me with the facts! My mind is made up!!"
I live in NYC. My teacher had me and a Mindboxing brother enter a Renzo Gracie school in Hells Kitchen to try this stuff out. Out of the two of us I was the more athletic guy at 6 feet and 190+lbs and my buddy is about 175lbs, 5' 7" and in his late thirties. He did better than I did!! Using 4 way chi manipulation he choked out a 200 pound bodybuilder/weightlifter with years of Brazilian Ju Jitsu experience. I had some impressive successes as well but not as impressive because I tried to rely partially on my size and natural "skill".
Renzo and others at that school were becoming pretty suspicious and we saw and overheard others whispering about us so after about 3 lessons we were out of there! We have done this at two bjj schools and 1 Bagua school. People become jealous and angry. Very few folks when confronted with this will say: "You got something there that is different. How could I learn some. Lets share, lets exchange." Thats what we want. WE ARE NOT A COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISE PRIMARILY.
One of my students is Captain of a New York City Police Precinct in Brooklyn. He's bigger and stronger than me externally. He wants to get this stuff to other policemen because it provides great relaxation and healing in light of recent events especially, and its a way of avoiding excessive hostility. Its easy to make up your mind about something without investigation but when you or anyone decides to ask honest and openminded questions on the matter my teacher, brothers and I are hear to answer them by email, phone or in person.

                    With Respect to you,

                      Al Colangelo

Has anyone ever worked out with Mr.Colangelo ,or studied his tapes? I read some pretty interesting claims by him and what he teaches. Like the Monk sets for one.

Well, if he was a BODYBUILDER/WEIGHTLIFTER with BJJ experience then that really proves it!
