      Pink Thongs?

What's wrong with pink thongs? Dude, you know nothing about nothing until you have to fight for your life in a kiddie pool full of baby oil with 3 lovely ladies and they make you wear the pink thongs.....

At least that's what I've heard....

Good call man, on the training. Keep the goals and change the routine.

            Erin:

I'm glad that it's not serious but a pinched nerve can be a long term problem iof the muscle is not treated right. You need physical therapy.
I would recommend you seek EMS, I think it stands for Electro Muscle Stimulation, where you get hooked up with wires look kind of like Frankenstein and clear up the muscle problem.

Pinched nerves are horrible. I have one now that runs from my neck to my arm. I've had therapy on and off for over 3 months. Some days it is fine, other days, the nerve tingles and I can't feel my thumb or index finger.

From reading post I believe your a young guy. Take as much time as required to heal. read 2- 3-4 months. Ease back in with light wieghts and stretching.
No pain no gain is BS! It catches up with you when you hit your mid to late thirties. Osteo arthristis is a major beech.

Have a long term approach to training and life in general. Your health is a blessing.

                  Take care of yourself.

I hurt my back when I was 17 doing squat reps with 408. I racked only half the weight and the other side of the bar bent me over to the right, just about an inch, but I have been fighting it for the past 12 years....

Getting old is a big fat hairy biotch.

Get a massage for your back

I'm a massage therapist and generally the issue is in the muscular system before the structure (bones) and doing massage in a active manner on a stretched muscle in question is the best for micro tears found commonly in sport related injuries. Of course only performed after there past the early acute stage, (72hrs) where ice works well and heat will make it worse if put directly on the injured area, causing more inflammation. Heat is best after 72hrs.
You can't move the boom of the boat until you loosen up the ropes.
First relax the muscle and the structure (bones) will find there place.
Nerve damage is a whole issue of it's own.
Find a skilled sports massage therapist before giving up to operations or chiropractic which, IMHO is over use by some and can cause hyper-mobility in the connective tissue of the wrappings around each joint.
