Nah I don't exactly agree yet Your example was taking things to extremes. It'd be like me saying I wouldn't be surprised if Royler beat an 800lb + man (you know, those bed-ridden blobs that get attention from national TV). Conan was within the limits of "normal" size, and he wasn't a fat ass. Not ripped, but not a chunk either.

When Sak fought Conan, if I recall the weights on the screen had Conan around 240 and Sak around 210. I haven't seen the tape in awhile, but I think the weights were around that. It was the first Ultimate Japan so you can watch the tape to be sure.

P.S.-Sak didn't win becuse of weight, he won because of a lousy ref.

"I'll just point out that Royler's technique is far superior to Sak's and anyone who doubts that is full of complete sh*t (you obviously dont know what you are talking about). And Sak does normally strut around at 200 or so pounds. Comparing that mass of 200lbs to 150lbs is like comparing a big man to a girl. Only a stupid less informed, cock-eyed individual would write that off as minimal."

Hawk: Maybe, I have no idea..I had always remembered him being around 187-190around that time.

false technique :"Why the hell would Sak weigh any different from his walk around weight when he doesnt compete in weight classes? That makes about as much sense as Royler cutting weight to 140 to fight Sak. Man was your post a bad joke? "I'm going to call you names to prove my point! I refuse to provide any logical reasoning and will argue by emotion, you stupid head!"

Ober- There are not many fighters who fight at their walking around weight. Sak does walk around around 200 lbs. He knew that Royler had no shot and kept his bodyweight high to use it to his advantage.

Fighters do not train year round and stay in fight shape. It is impossible to stay in fight shape year round. Their training goes in cycles. When preparing for a fight the intensity levels and attention to details such as diet, etc. come in to play.

Even heavyweights such as Kerr and Coleman fight lighter than their everyday weight. Kerr goes about 255- 260 but fights around 240-245. He loses this weight when his training intensity picks up and he dials in for the fight.

Renzo walks around at 185. He fought Sak at 175. He lost this weight preparing for the fight even though he didn't have to make weight. This concept is called getting in shape.

"Honestly, Ober I just can't blame you for failing to provide logical reasoning against my statement. Your last post just eats a hole into itself and (u X O X b*tch) you prove that you are, indeed, cockeyed. Nice try you stupid f*ck but I remain intact."

Ground control: "Getting in shape" doesn't necessarily involve weight loss; if you think so you still have things to learn. It'd be more plausible if Sak took long breaks from any training at all, but in interviews not long ago he insinuated he was looking forward to a break after fighting non-stop without much time intervals between (& constant training). It's not like he's a pro athlete that fights for only one season and take the remainder of the year off until the next preseason.

false technique: Really....read your posts yourself. Do you feel like a badass running your mouth off on the internet? Is your real life so deprived and frustrating from getting constantly getting picked on, constantly ridiculed, and being bullied that you feel the need to act out your fantasy and vent your frustration on the internet and be the cyber bully instead of the helpless sheep as you are in real life? Cyber ninja? Go ninja go...

whatever floats your boat little boy. Anyhow keep being the internet warrior if it's your only outlet; I wouldnt want to cut off your only escape to the fantasy world where you can finally live out your dreams; some poor guys commit suicide cuz they don't have an oulet like the internet. Wouldnt want to do that! I'll let you throw your cyber punches to save a life.

Ober- Your last post shows your lack of knowledge. Obviously you do not fight or you wouldn't make such ridiculous statements. Of course MMA fighters train year round. The levels of intensity of the training is what changes. Diet gets more strict, sparring picks up, your training begins to replicate the event you are preparing for, partying stops. I did not say losing weight = getting in shape. It is the byproduct of this increased intensity training.

Because I also fight I have had the opportunity to train with many world class athletes Rickson, Renzo, F. Shamrock, Sean Alvarez, Royce, Rodrigo Gracie, Ricardo Almeida, The Serra bros. I think that what I have learned from these great athletes carries a little more weight than the opinion of someone who types on a keyboard and claims to know how Sak prepares for a fight.

By the way nice homepage. Atleast we have two things in common. Women and weed.

"Wow! Ober you just keep on making yourself look more and more bad (concerning Sak's weight) but worse....you actually think that you are making some sense here. Are you joking or what? Trust me (little xox girl), your last post was cow sh*t. It was stupid. And as for me....Bullied? Ridiculed? Outlet? Frustration? or whatever LOL....you just don't know what you are talking about. And it's good to hear you say something like this (you f*cking idiot) but what the h*ll is an internet warrior?"
