    Hawk:
My venerable, experienced, sagacious (stoned out of his mind) friend ... the idea that Rickson (chuckle) "proved himself" more than Sak is (LOL) freaking absurd.

Like I said, he beat other fuzzy Brazilians, totally clueless TKD whitebelts, and (recently) fat Japanese has-beens.

What world class boxer did he beat (NHB)?

What world class wrestler did he beat? (NHB)?

What world class NHB fighter did he beat?

    Anyone? Anyone?

    NO ONE!!!

Rickson has a good physique, the kind Patterson would have posted on the ceiling above his bed, and he may be King of the Brazilian Matt Rollers ... but he is NOTHING in the modern NHB world. Not even a footnote.

    Yours truly,

    Joe

      Well,
As I said before CJ, in no kicking with shoesies, he's beat who he's beat, all by submission. When he was touring the country with his brothers he beat whoever stepped up, be it submission grappling, NHB (the kind you could kick no matter what), and any rules they wanted as long as it was NTL. Now, none of the NHB fighters have beat world class boxers because they can't get any world class boxers to fight them. As to World Class wrestlers, well he beat Takada twice, who is the only man to submit Coleman.BTW,
how many world class wrestlers are there in NHB. There's Coleman, Kerr, Jackson(beat by Frank & Bohlander), Evans(beat by Hume), Henderson (Goes had him but the watered down rules got him and Newton got shafted), Royce Alger(nothing needs to be said). Bottom line, worls class wrestlers, with the exception of Coleman & Kerr who have both been beaten, haven't exactly dominated NHB. Forgot Big Tom, who fought a 40min. draw with Busta. When did you jump on Sak's bandwagon? You used to talk terrible about the poor guy. Keep it going Jack!!!!!HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

oh come now mako, what I was speaking of is an event neither in the US, japan, or brazil. you have to admit sak has had it nice only fighting in his home country in an event where he is the poster child. sure he fought in the UFC in japan too, and look what happened there.

as for joe, were you referring to funaki as the flabby japanese? he seemed to have a good physique to me, and I'm sure funaki could take MANY of todays NHB stars to the limit.

          Sheeesh!

Why can't Rickson retire gracefully?! This kind of smack talking looks pretty weak if it isnt backed up in the ring, and Rickson has not done much of that lately.

This type of remark comes off as jealousy on Rickson's part and is unseemly. He obviously was the Man in his time so why does he try to denigrate one of the current champions?

Last I checked, Sak has fought far more and better competition in the last 5-10 years than Rickson, so who the heck does Rickson think he is to say this and refuse to back it up?!

This just seems rather pathetic: please notice me, fighting world! Even though I dont fight any top guys, I still want to be considered the best! Waaaaaaah!

Don't let that mean Mr. Sakuraba get all the attention when I am still the best (at least in my mind)!!!!

How is he a class act you brain-washed 'tard?
He talks smack about Rickson and of course Rickson
gets mad at him. Define "class act." Talking sh*t?
Hate to tell you, Sak stated in Black belt magazine
that he will not fight Rickson because promoters
won't bankroll the fight. He disrespects fighters by acting like a clown. But perhaps fake prowrestling is what you enjoy.

Hey, go buy yourself a roundtrip ticket and go be Sak's b*tch for all I care. Hey are you good at sucking things?

First Royler, then Royce steps up to the plate, and also
Renzo, and now Rickson. Do you see a pattern here? Why in the world would Sakuraba even want to bother steping in the
ring with another Gracie after he destroyed the reign of the
family by soundly beating Royler? The almighty dollar. Why would the Gracie family sent in their pons and not their knight? You would think they would throw their best at Sakuraba first after
the Royler masacre! Isn't their "name" worth anything to
them anymore? I'm afraid their success in America and around
the world has compromized their values for the big bucks. Or maybe that was their goal all along?
Smart marketing is what builds Rickson's name, not his fixed japanese fights.

You put the devil on the other side, and I'll walk him into a fight.

                    comparing Saks career with Ricksons....
                    As if...

Sak is a good fighter but hasn't accomplished as much as Rickson has...

like saying Vince Carter is better than Michael Jordan..

You act like the Gracie's are all one team and they get in a huddle and decide who is going to fight Sak.They live thousands of miles apart.Look at it like this:Royler steps up first he wants to be the man. Then Rorion see's an aportunity for Royce to make him money. Then Renzo steps up and wants to be the man.But Rickson IS the man.ALL the Gracie's (except Carley)say Rickson is the best.Sakaraba is being made to be unbeatable just like Royce was.Once Rickson-Sakaraba tie it up everybody will see that Rickson is the best. After Rickson CHOKES Sak he will retire happily. But you see, once he fights and beats Sak nobody is going to except it.Yall will say "Well he cant beat Kerr"So I guess Rickson cant beat Fujita either eh?Pride is famous for giving Saks opponents little time to pre-pair.Renzo has shown the best though on short notice.

Sakaraba is a FIGHTER and everybody else has their own schools and teaches classes.I would like to see how Sak would do on short notice.Rickson fights people on the spur of the moment in his own dojo for heavons sake!!!!How could Sak beat this man?Sak CANT knock Rickson out.Although he has good striking abilaty it not enough to knock anybody out.Even though Sak broke Renzo's arm,Rickson taps Renzo AT WILL.When the time is right Rickson will fight, beat, destroy,Sakaraba.

                          Sak," blah,blah,blah.

                          1. You said:"Then Rorion sees an opportunity to make money for Royce."
Your arguement is confirming the point I was trying to
make, and that is,- The Gracies are not concerned about their name;only the big bucks.

                          2. You said:"But Rickson is the man. All of the Gracie's
(except Carley)say Rickson is the best.
Your arguement is confirming again the pointI was trying to make, which is- "Why would the Gracie family sent in their pons and not their knight. You would think they would throw their best at Sak."

                          3. You said:"Once Rickson chokes out Sak, he will retire happy. But you see, once he fights and beats Sak nobody is going to except it." Are you concluding that I don't think
Rickson is capable of doing that?
When I stated That marketing builds his name and not his Japanese fights, I am not concluding that Rickson sucks.
If anyone could make Sak tap, it would be Rickson. I'm stating that maketing his name(for the sake of money)brings
substance to his name. Any one not half blind would realize that Rickson is not fighting up to his potential for the vast majority of his Japanese fights. Yes, he is wiping the mats with his opponents, but I believe the whole Rickson
                          package is yetto be revealed.

In essence then, what is your question?
                          ------------------------------------------------------------
I've beat him before and I'll beat him again.

                              Patterson:

In case you haven't heard, Rickson is 400-0, not counting his loss by throw to Ron Tripp in a Sambo match.

Also, many BJJ black belts say that Rickson is great. Not as many BJJ black belts have so complimented Sak.

Probably because he beat them up.
