  • Machado in Pasadena?

I remember seeing a post about a Machado school in Pasadena a coupld of months ago. Did the school ever open? A friend of mine saw a Machado banner on Colorado Blvd.

That's it... it's open for business. On Colorado just east of Lake St (about 2 blocks) on the north side of Colorado.

I believe Rigan Machado is teaching there, part time, with another black belt.

          don't quote me...

          i believe:

          it's $140/month unlimited.

classes are from 10am-1pm and then from 6pm-8pm.

The other black belt is Paolo (can't remember last name) and Kathy Brothers, a female brown belt under the Machados and then I think Rigan is there twice a week.

          I don't have a phone number.

            just started

i trained there for the second time on saturday. i hear rigan teaches there mondays and wednesdays. and lately roger or paulo teaches there tuesdays and thursdays. on fridays a brown or purple belt teaches.

on saturdays a brown belt named lonnie teaches. he is a very good instructor. we did two takedowns, two escapes from the bottom position and two guard attacks. also, lonnie wanted to make us aware of how punching changes the game. he had us try to take him down while he punched at us. i didn't do it because of an eye problem. then he made us go into the guard position and he punched with only one hand. boy, it was a good reality check. also, he had headgear on. i did the guard one and took a chance with my eye problem. it was alot of fun. i was able to lock both of his arms but then he kept headbutting me. great class.

So, Lonnie's a brown now, cool.

we used to hang at Torrance.

last I heard he was purple.

              I guess he's really progressing.

                        KARLos the Jackal:

                        How old are you now?

Wait until you get to your mid 40's and see if you are still training in BJJ.

What a minute, you don't train NOW!
