Hey hey all just wanted to add something.... people say that there is light contact in Tkd.... I have seen ITF (international TKD federation) TKD world class matches.... had someone in my School goto one.... they arn't fighting on a simple point system sure that is how it is desided.... but your opponent isin't kicking so u will feel it....... he is kicking u to knock u out, sure blood is a disqulafication..... but kicking at full power to the head is only 1 minus point and u can still do it once more until u have to worry about being disqualified

Blood is disqualification? I would not make it very long because if I am gonna fight someone is gonna bleed. Sounds like some weak crap to me. I have never seen a real fight that has not ended up with someone bloodied. That just teaches the wrong thing that if blood is drawn the fight is over when most of the time blood is drawn early in a fight. If you are gonna fight, fight hard and fight til someone is either out cold or gives up. Don't give me no crap about I tapped you on the head five times so you loose.

So you are saying in a sport competion, and someone kicks as hard as possible in someones face... kicks the nose bone into the brian and kills them that would be ok cuzz it shows how powerfull we are.
You know what it shows a lack of self control, self disipliene.... Martial Arts were never designed to show you how to fight! I think the masters who made Gung Fu And Karate would be ashmed of us all! Martail Arts created for self-defence. If i needn't know better i would say MT was not a martial art but mockery of martial arts teaching students no self-control does of the way they are taught. Ghost i think you seem to be the worst about this.
The Bo, Nunchaku, Tonfa...... are they weapons?? No, they r self-defence tools. The Reason People started to train with them is cuzz japan had placed law forbiding steel weopons.

LOL........that's not fair.........I wanted to be the worst of all of us. I tell ya what TKD sux and so does pappa smurf. The system sucks because how could you possibly know what works and what doesn't when you never have to use it against a resisting opponent? You don't until one fateful day you have to use it on the street and get the crap kicked out of you. Sad sad little man. Just quit TKD and go join MT you might actually learn something of use.
Now am I the worst?

First off what nose bone? Its gristle with a little bit of bone that wont make it to your brain, i did science a t University. But i learnt that in secondary school.
On to the main point. Thai Boxing was developed on the battle field for killing the enemy. It was designed to knock the living daylights out of your enemy. To kill them and show no mercy. Martial art mean art of war. You go and work it out.
Battles are almost never one sided. I
n defence you attack.
So in competetion the mentality lives on.
Thai Boxers are taught that if you see you have knocked you opponent out as they fall try and kick them or hit them in the head on the way down to make sure.
You cant beat someone unless you hurt them.
Thats a fact.
You dont score points in Thai Boxing for points landed, only for solid blows.
Thai Boxing is a damn site older than TKD and you are right TKD is not meant for fighting. It is a sport and as such not a martial art.
I dont recall hearing of TKD being used in battle.
The very essence of TKD is laughable to a Thai Boxer. You have no idea of the intencity of the training and the mind set it develops. It is tauight like this because it is to prepare you for combat. We fight hard in the ring to keep it real.

Here is my solution to this! I Train Papa Smurf In TKD and you train you half sissy whatever hobo charater you want then we shall put them in a fight to the death......l weapons aloud but since MT doeswn't really train with weapons that could be a problem

The weapons system is Krabi Krabong, now the contest would be over real quick cos your man would not get close.
