Im not a fan of Bozteppe but some of the posts on here are sheer ignorance, let me put you guys straight about somethings.

First off Bozteppe was not a 2nd level technican he was still a student grade when he had that fight with cheung. Which was brought on by the constant boasting of william cheung that hes wing chun was the best etc etc.

Bozteppe began his martial arts career with greco wrestling and boxing, and at the time of that fight he had far more experience with these styles than WT yet none puts down wrestling and boxing due to a 10 second clip !

It was the bigmouth gracies who started it not bozteppe , seems you lot have only heard one side of the story but the truth is the gracies would only fight under thier own rules ,which are undeniably geared towards grappling !

Finally check out the following a quote from Jon Blumming one of the top trainers in the world which exposes some of the tricks used by grapplers:-

    Bluming :
" Yes, that’s right, but I think you give the Gracies too much leverage; they did NOT bring in something new. And if they change the rules so that you are allowed to hit or kick when one knee is on the mat that would change the whole story. I have seen that in February in Tokyo when one of the Gracie’s fought and lost miserably to a kick boxer.

All he did was constantly dive for the legs knowing that if his knees are on the mat his opponent was not aloud to hit him. Of course I trained them in those styles, I did those techniques in Kodokan 42 years ago when Gracie was in his diapers. "

Have you ever seen the video of Boztepe/Cheung? Its an EMBARASSMENT to martial arts. It looks like a couple of 4th grade kids flailing at each other on the playground.

      ZERO TECHNIQUE

Boztepe's "Anti-Grappling" is HILARIOUS. Its the wort sham I've seen in a WHILE.

The only thing you REALLY need to know concerning Boztepe:

When the UFC first arrived he wrote and signed a letter to both the UFC and the Gracies. This letter appeared in Black Belt magazine. He accused the UFC of being fake like "Professional American Wrestling" and agreed to send fighters to fight the Gracies. Of course everyone knows he punked out.

The lesson for all the Boztepe followers Re:That letter- HE DIDNT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A REAL FIGHT AND A FAKE ONE! How the HELL can you trust this man to teach you "Anti-Grappling" when he thought the UFC was FAKE?

I second that. @ All hard a$$ critics : Just go to ebmas.net there is as seminar list there and Emin travels a lot, so you'll get your chance to prove that Boztepe is 'week'.
And just for the record, I am NOT an ebmas member / a big fan of Emin Boztepe. But I trained with him at 2 of his seminars and he is very good. And yes, he is a bit of a show-off, but he never insults others / other styles .

If I was a BJJ black belt, I would. Even a brown. The guy is a coward straight up. If he wanted any of the Gracies he could have marched in Ricksons studio any day of the week, or any other Gracie. That shit still goes on, it happened not too long ago some karate clowns came into a BJJ studio, signed a release and got put to sleep. Just as this dick would.

Man you would be famous just make sure it makes the news. Unless this is only big internet talk/B.S and no action.

His schedule is posted and he is easy to find.

I'd bet Boztepe could handle himself in a street fight pretty well, possibly against multiple fighters. He's got some serious hand speed, keeps his kicks low and seems to have some knowledge of grappling - WT is an infighting style. Plus he trains with weapons in escrima, so he'd probably use them proficiently too.

In a challenge type match, he would loose to a Gracie simply due to the parameters of this kind of match and Gracies experience. Other TMA fighters with decades of experience have handled similar losses.

Back in the days of the original UFC's, there were lesser rules. Gordeau, the savate/muay thai champ got beat by Royce as did Kempo Grandmaster Ron Van Clieft (who brought over 40 years of experience, some of it street).
