Im not a fan of Bozteppe but some of the posts on here are sheer ignorance, let me put you guys straight about somethings.
First off Bozteppe was not a 2nd level technican he was still a student grade when he had that fight with cheung. Which was brought on by the constant boasting of william cheung that hes wing chun was the best etc etc.
Bozteppe began his martial arts career with greco wrestling and boxing, and at the time of that fight he had far more experience with these styles than WT yet none puts down wrestling and boxing due to a 10 second clip !
It was the bigmouth gracies who started it not bozteppe , seems you lot have only heard one side of the story but the truth is the gracies would only fight under thier own rules ,which are undeniably geared towards grappling !
Finally check out the following a quote from Jon Blumming one of the top trainers in the world which exposes some of the tricks used by grapplers:-
Bluming :
" Yes, that’s right, but I think you give the Gracies too much leverage; they did NOT bring in something new. And if they change the rules so that you are allowed to hit or kick when one knee is on the mat that would change the whole story. I have seen that in February in Tokyo when one of the Gracie’s fought and lost miserably to a kick boxer.
All he did was constantly dive for the legs knowing that if his knees are on the mat his opponent was not aloud to hit him. Of course I trained them in those styles, I did those techniques in Kodokan 42 years ago when Gracie was in his diapers. "
