Good reply! I take back my "tosser" allegation.

But, as regards fights, it takes two to tango. People's silly pride makes them rise to the air headed challenges (people staring at you, pushing passed you in the street etc.).

Grow up and use this strategy.

        Avoid
        Escape
        Negotiate
        Fight

Avoid people and places were trouble is likely.

Escape situations were you can see trouble brewing.

Negotiate with any arse-wipe who is trying to start a fight. If all this fails.......

Fight the knob who isn't going to go away. Confuse him with a silly question ("Don't our mothers' know each other?") then, as he momentarily wonders about it, give him your best pre-emprive strke and run off.

Of course, all this needs you to control your ego first.....

I agree Bri Thai about the asking a dumb question to pre-emptive strike idea. Never used it myself, because usually some good acting skills serve me well enough, but I've seen it work before on one of my friends.

As for ego control, that helps a lot, but unfortunately one inflated ego can be enough.
