Sniper007 from elite. I'll bet this site hasn't had this many new members sing up in a long time. Thanks to superdave for promoting this site at elite.

Welcome to defend.net. I'm fairly new here, but I have been in the martial arts for almost 10 years now. I've had a pretty diverse training in TKD, Aikido, Wing Chun, and some Military Training (LINE). I was taught in the context of self defense with a focus on the philosophy, spirituality, and psychology of fighting. I've been following a few of the posts and y'all haven't gotten as warm a welcome as one might hope for. That's mostly culture shock I guess. Everyone just needs to learn to respect eachother a little better.

For what its worth, I don't agree with the name calling and the conclusions that a lot of ppl have drawn. You have to understand that A LOT of MA's are in law enforcement or the military. There's a lot of "misinformation" floating around on both sides and everyone needs to show a certain amount of respect to one another. Anyways, I hope that debate is over.

There are a lot of intelligent ppl here, and I hope our two communities will benefit from one another..

THIS IS A VERY GOOD POST. I CAME TO THIS BOARD FROM ELITE BUT I WAS LOOKING FOR A BOARD LIKE THIS SINCE I HAVE RECENTLY GOTTEN INTO MMA. I GUESS THEY THINK I'M SOME DUMB BODYBUILDER. THAT MAY BE TRUE EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT I'M NOT A BODYBUILDER. I ALSO HAVE A 4.0 IN SCHOOL WITH A MAJOR AND TWO MINORS. OH WELL, I LIKE BREAKING THE STEREOTYPE TOWARDS ME ANYWAY.

THE REASON I GOT INTO MMA WAS TO BECOME MORE FLEXIBLE AND TO GET IN BETTER SHAPE CARDIO WISE. I NVR EVEN DREAMED I WOULD LIKE IT. LOL

                    GOOD POST BRAD.
