I say that because from the point I wake up to the point I go to sleep all I think about is fighting, whether it be grappling, boxing, street fighting, etc. I think up of all sorts of situations in my mind and how to handle them when fighting. I can't focus on my work or anything else. This is becoming a problem. Argghhhhh.

The law of tyranny:
1. Any power that can be abused will be abused
2. Abuse always expands to fill the limits of resistance to it.
3. If people don't resist the abuses of others, they will have no one to resist the abuses of themselves, and tyranny will prevail.

I'm a bit like that as well. I don't train everyday, but I'm always thinking about martial arts. When I'm at work, I'll just surf look at martial arts websites, and check this site quite frequently.
I train in martial arts because I enjoy it, even though the thought of a streetfight scares the shit out of me. We all have our interests! Some people are obsessed with football, golf, computer games, Star Trek etc! I'm sure our pastime in quite normal, unless you walk down the High Street swinging a samurai sword or something!

Me too...
I seem to be in the same boat as dkm — I think about the martial arts incessantly, although I've been in a lot of bar and street fights. My imagination puts me in the next fight where I my heart is pounding, energy draining and I have to react. This prompts me to train harder. My girlfriend hates that I'm always training...

I'm with ya man! Streetfighting isn't something I think about because I never even go "on the streets," but BJJ and grappling occupies my mind 90% of the day. My ultimate dream is to start my own BJJ club and be the instructor, so I need to get really good (brown belt is my aim) before I start it. Next year I'm going to be able to train EVERY day, so I'm so excited I can't think straight and am already planning my future "Intro to BJJ" course!
