The other night, I stopped into a bar late to have a beer on my way back home from the gym and got into a conversation with an Army "officer." Very convincing person actually, he looked the part, talked the part, etc.. He left before me because he had to get up at "0400" and the bartender laughed after he was gone and told me the guy wasn't in the Army just wanted everyone to think so. What is it with these people????

Well.. you see these guys posing as a lot of different authentic pros. They like to pretend they are "Soldiers of Fortune," "Police," "Firefighters," "Military," "Cia/Fbi," etc..
My whole point is that almost all of them claim to know the martial arts. Yet 97% of them don't.
My whole question is: what drives them? I just don't understand.

I have a couple of friends who were SEALS in Panama and Somalia. My impression of them was that they were quiet professionals that didn't brag but kept their mouths shut. The only time I got them to volunteer stuff was when I asked them about what appeared to be bullet wounds when they had their shirts off for Muay Thai. Other than that, they kept it zipped.

that's too bad that people pose to be something their not!!!!!!it always seems to be the big drunken messes. I'm not in the military but assume that a seal would not present them self in that manner. you would think that someone who made it through the most extreme training would carry them self better then those sloppy messes. i wouldn't take it to heart just laugh that they and only them believe it!!!!!!!
