Before the forum "shut down" (this past July / Aug), one of your threads pertained to a story you were telling about some guy that walked into your worklace with a GRACIE patch on his gym bag or his shorts or wherever (correct me if I'm wrong), and you asked him something about the patch...blah, blah, blah.....and the last I remember, you were supposed to go and grapple with , or just check out the gym he was at.....

did that ever materialize? Who was the guy? You mentioned that he was either a purple or brown in BJJ didn't you?

Nope, the day I met the guy, I was due to go on a vacation 2 days later. After I came back I discovered 2 MMA/muay thai schools in my area. I did not think it was necessary to contact him. The guy WAS a former member of the Rickson Gracie Jiu jitsu place in California, got his blue belt there, and he now currently trains in some FAR off city which he travels over 90 min to get to.
Besides, him being over 19 and still not being able to spell jiu jitsu freaked me a little. Not to mention not being able to drive? Not to mention that other submission wrestler I ran into from England. I decided to stray away from meeting strangers from that point.

The name of that blue belt Rickson school member would not happen to be Slavco Ilic?

Hmmm... possiably a fraud, I am only aware of one legit Rickson Gracie blue belt in Ontario but I could be wrong.

Slavco Illic is Rickson Gracie's oficial representative in Canada, he lives in Missisauga I believe. He is a high blue belt or purple belt in BJJ.

In mississauga? No sh!t? I havent seen any outside of T.O. around here. Im still a student trying to get good marks, I dont have the time to make a trip to T.O. even though its only an extra 20 min. Good thing there are good schools here.

That school has moved locations. The new location is one of the two that Im considering right now. Thanks anyway, their new location has a lot of new equipement
