I constantly see threads along the lines of "No BJJ is the best MA" "No MT is because its got elbows" "But gracie beat up that MT guy". I'm unlikely to ever fight again, and even if I do, training isn't everything. What about martial arts that are good excersise or are fun to do, or make good sports? TKD improves flexibility, breaking bricks in karate makes you feel powerful, MT is good for cardio-vascular excersise, aikido lets you feel one with the universe. MAs can do more than just teach you to fight. It all depends on what your goal is, if my goal is to learn to chop a melon with a samurai sword, then for me, kendo is much better than BJJ or MT.

Lizard: Some of your past posts were kind of aggravating. This one is really good. We don't all want to be sh**kickers.
I met my wife at my Kenpo school 15 years ago and I think one of the most important benefits of Martial Arts training is social: it should be great place to make new friends.
My definition of the most fun type of school is where there is a good balance of Men and Women.
I am currently doing BJJ and I haven't seen a single woman at the school. That's OK for me though, I'm married. I just really wonder how some of the other guys are ever going to meet a girl.

Its strange. Recently people keep saying things like "wow lizard you actualy made a good post for once", funny thing is I thought that this post wasn't that good. Perhaps I'm becoming more intelligent, I'm... evolving. Women just aren't as into fighting, perhaps they prefer the more graceful arts like kung-fu. "Now, can I have a female volunteer? Right now I'm just going to demonstarte the front breast squeeze..."
