In military H2H you won't see closed hand striking too much. Most of the time they use palm strikes to the chin or under the nose. Use alot of strikes to vital areas too. Military H2H is pretty effective for street fighting because it focuses mostly not on how good of technique you use but how fast you can take out your opponent.

Yes, we did do some knife training. We trained with just about anything that you would have one the battle feild and how to use it as a weapon. We also did alot of training with the rifles and using them like a staff (in case you run out of ammo in close quarters).

          That must be quite intence.

That remided me just this week what happened.
Dont know if you heard about it over in America.

Our Paratroopers(they're quite good) got ambushed by some Iraqi rebels anyway the killed a bunch of rebels but got pinned down by RPG and machine gun fire.
          Two Paras got seriously wounded.

Eventually they got down to 4 magazines between the ten of them. At this point the officer gave the order to fix bayonets and shouted "Right lads, we're not going down without a fight"

Paras stlye is to charge out and go for it.

Anyway, as they are waiting for the order to go to hand to hand fighting a chinook helicopter comes screaming in and drops off another bunch of Paras.

So... the tables turned and the rest of the rebels were killed.

Just shows though, must have been scary.

Its quite a story here as the Paras are a bit famous for their use of the bayonet...........even when its not necessary.

Thought that might be of interest thats all.

I heard about the ambush too, but I did not hear more than they got ambushed. I beleive they probably did fix the bayonnets though if they are anything like we were cuz we would have went down fighting.

You obviously have the marines and the army mistaken....lol

Sounds like something a marine would do.

God knows why, but my post seems to have been deleted. Must have ben by accident.

The Paras were ambushed, but all that fix bayonet stuff is story telling bullshit.

                    fist versus open hand

Ghost I to like to use fist instead of open hand, yet even Mike Tyson broke his hand in a street fight with a journey man boxer Mitch Green. Do you use any kind of conditioning for your knuckle?
