I don't know about everyone else, but there are a lot of threads that are just repeats of old ones so I just give up on saying the same things over and over again. Also, there are some threads that are little more than silly name calling, and that just bores the hell out of me.
My daily routine when I get into work is to check my emails, and then come on here. It's good because it looks like I'm working when all I'm doing is reading all the new posts!

The sage experiences without abstraction,
And accomplishes without action;
He accepts the ebb and flow of things,
Nurtures them, but does not own them,
And lives, but does not dwell.
When I get into the office each morning, I check my emails and come in here... I normally have the site open all day since I'm in my own little office. I'll check the forum from time to time, unless I'm in a meeting or really working hard (seldom happens).

Hahaha Ghost! Your typical day sounds like a mirror of mine! I work in IT also! I'm stuck in a little office as well so no one really sees me go in and out. I get into work, check my work emails, and then check the forum and have a cuppa tea. I don't get into second gear until about 10:30am, and the work isn't that hard, ie. fixing broken links, amending websites etc.
Normally, I just sit there and look at martial arts websites on the web. The guy next to me just looks at football websites all day.
I go to the pub for lunch a few times a week, and sometimes, I don't even drink! If I have training that evening, then I won't drink in the afternoon. Drinking in the afternoon just makes me tired when I get back to the office.
I knew some people who worked in IT. They spent most of day on the internet and every half hour or so they loaded a tape into a computer. The rest of the time they weren't there. Probably drinking beer on the roof or something. The cost of giving them access to the internet was proabably more than they contributed to the company.
