Lloyd is a legit BJJ BB. He received his BB in Brazil from his instructor Leo Dalla. Lloyd, I believe won the World's in the Master's division a few years ago. Lloyd is also a talented Sambo BB. Lloyd suffered a serious injury a few years ago, but I believe he has since recovered.

I don't know about Judo, but Lloyd didn't get his BB in 3 1/2 years. I believe he was a Brown for at least 2-3 years.

The only American that I know of, that got his BB in like 4 years was the "Prodigy" BJ Penn. He's a freak though, awesome grappler.

                Lloyd Irvin

He is my instructor and you have his information incorrect.

There are two americans that got their BJJ BLack Belts in under
4 years, My instructor and BJ Penn.

He wasn't a brown belt for 2-3 years, he was a brown belt for
1 year, He got his brown in 1999 and Black in 2000.

He fought in the Worlds in 1999 as a brown blet and Worlds in
                2000 as a black belt.

As far as his judo and sombo BB he got those in 1 year.

They have been having a detailed discussion about this in the
underground bjj forum and nhbgear. He is answering questions
                himself there.

Thanks MFowler, it was my mistake. However, I do know that Lloyd is an excellent instructor and an excellent grappler. How is Lloyd doing? The last I heard, he had a serious injury, I hope all is well with him.
