  • We just expanded 7 locations in Central Texas!

Our HQ is at Here is the class schedule, http://www.austinjj.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35
In Smithville Ray has a brand new wrestling mat and has started getting people on the mats. It looks like I will be doing a seminar there the Tuesday that I fly out to the Worlds. Contact Ray @ 512-237-2022 if you need to talk to him.

We can't forget the Baylor Jiu-Jitsu Club in Waco. I have been training these guys for years & they roll with everyone that comes in to train, here is their website: http://www.baylor.edu/BaylorJiu_Jitsu . They have 3 or 4 guys that have fought NHB & have won in grappling tournaments as well. They have taken the time to come down & train with Relson & I in Austin as well. Stop by & try to choke them.

Last but not least we have started a program in Lago Vista! Jimmy Cleaver has been on the mats with me at the Academy & house. He has fought 3 MMA fights & has won Grapplers Quest & competed in the Worlds in Brazil. He is a Purple Belt & his game improves quickly everyday he is one of the top purple belts in Texas. Randy Vera will be visiting this class so will John Thomas.

Since I have no life aside from classes & competition I will be supporting these programs 100%. I will be showing up to tons of the classes & teaching all my H.Q. classes. This expansion is the start of something really great. Since we have come close to & had a waiting list at the H.Q. so I think this will help out some. Last Saturday class we had 34 people on the mats aside from myself. Come check out what we have going on if you want. Your first class is always free. - www.austinjj.com

Hey GracieJJ, how is life in the beautiful hill country?
Is Solis & Sahuim still up in Austin?

I met Rodney a few years back; I think he was a purple belt then. He's pretty cool.

Rodney is still here & kicking like a mule. I talked to him 2 weeks ago. I go over to his place some. I am trying to get him to come over to the Hills to train on our mats some. He's actually the worlds most seasoned Blue Belt. I bet he gets his purple soon. I have always got along with him. He's worked my corner in San Antonio.

Only a blue belt? Dang!!!!! His skill set seemed like purple...I've grappled with some blue belts who were pretty good.

I fondly remember the Hills Fitness Ctr. Its hard to spot from Beecaves and has a narrow winding entrance. I miss Austin - no jobs!!

Yea, the job market is tough here & the economy sucks. Lucky this type of stuff makes you want to choke people. Class has been getting big. We have lots of new talent coming in the door every week.

Glad to hear someone is doing good with their biz. And you are right, the economy does suck. I think it sucks all across the USA!
