Hey Ronin, speak for your ****in' self. The only reason I've been on here alot is because I've been sick with strep throat and bronchitis for the last month. As soon as I get better I'm getting my ass back into the ring where I belong. I'll still post but not as much as the Ryu and Ronin's of the board.

"Ok, I'll leave Ryu's side life out of this (and open myself up to be flamed) but here goes. You see, people that deal in the religion industry have motives just like you and I. If they are smart then they have goals and they set out to work towards those goals to solve a problem or, um, to make life easier. But that's where the problems arise. People don't WANT to believe that we are here by "chance" (as they would put it). Let's say that 40% of the population is normal. The other half is just on a clueless track. 60% of the people are so dumb they can actually absorb a story such as Noah's Ark or David vs. Goliath whole heartedly with no problem---to them, a crate of free bibles is actually worth reading! But the other 40% (made up of people who have done they're religious groundwork) can read one myth inside of the bible that is obviously bullsh*t, dismiss it, then go on believing that the rest of the content is true. How they do this is beyond me (sike) but they do it? No matter how much research that they do that could easily prove "certain" things in the bible false, they dismiss that information because they want to believe that the bible is true. They want to think that they have it all figured out. Take Timothy McVeigh (the guy responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing) for example. Convincing world class psychologists (let alone the American public) that he is insane would be fairly easy simply for the fact that no one wants to think that he is sane. YOU DONT WANT TO THINK THAT HE DID "THAT" UNDER A NORMAL STATE OF MIND. The same holds true for religion. People want to think that they have it all figured out and that they are going "somewhere" in the end. They don't want to think that their religion has holes in it. In the long run, they end up thinking that it doesn't and that is just natural. But it all stems back to what they want. See, humans have wants and needs to . Even Ryu."

The problem with your logic is that it is not logic. You spend your time trying to insult people rather then have a conversation about religion. You make generalizations about the human race based on your own opinions, and it comes off as the funniest and most stupid thing this board has ever seen Don't you wonder why you don't have any friends here? You truly are a pseudo-intellectual. (pseudo means false or fake in case you are madly trying to look up the word! LOL!)

I don't argue with pseudos If you want to be a part of the board, prove that you can do more than troll. Since the posts above were nothing but trolling, the board won't take you seriously. Again, sorry.

This is the last "serious" post I'll give you. You don't have the intelligence to see religion as anything more than "an invisible man in the sky that told noah to gather animals." That's not anything. I have nothing to say to that, because the argument has no meaning to me. I don't think religion is that. So I don't know who you are blowing your hot air at. Certainly the smarter members of the board have noticed that.

True Technique - I've exchanged some pleasantries with Ryu before - never exchanged any garbage - never hope I do. I think you're reading him wrong. He seems to be a level-headed person, never one to verbally attack or slander anyone that I've witnessed before.

Rockinronnie is right that I try to stay as objective as possible to people who actually are not here to troll. Since you are there's not much sympathy you can get from me right now. First things first, YeLLa TiGeR can fight his own battles of course, but I'm posting here briefly tonight to warn you of something. First, the administrators of this board are back, and will NOT take kindly to your choice of words. Keep it up, and you'll be booted off the board. Second, pick on someone your own size, and talk to me if you have something to say (though I'm guessing you might be around 14 or so...)
Third, if half of what you claim is true (including the cop stuff) I'll make this prediction for you now. You go into the academy with the short fuse, and inability to deal with pressure that you project on this board...well you will never NEVER make it. Take it from someone who actually was apart of the police academy, and who has studied criminology for some years. You gotta shape up if you want to do the things you claim you want to do.
I don't like coming across like this, but I am getting less patient with trolls lately.

I do feel a bit bad that I have apparently "taken over" your thread on whether people believe in God or not. I don't mind the fact that you don't, I just wanted you to see that the impulsive reactions that you have in saying that there is no God, are just as emotionally thrown out as the blind followers of religion. What annoyed me was the fact that you did not include any sources, facts, philosophers, thinkers, etc. in your OPINION that God does not exist, and that there is nothing to live for so to speak. I do not believe that obviously, but again it was my OPINION, but I am willing to back it up with material related to the discussion. True Technique makes no sense as he starts trying to speak scientifically but then can only claim generalizations on ALL humankind's thoughts on the subject So my point is, if you wish to talk, do not come across as so defaming of philosophies that have survived for thousands of years, but speak with a composed nature, and back up your opinions with actual quotes from thinkers, researchers, etc.

Then debates on that kind of thing can be fun.
But in all fairness, I do come across condescending sometimes, so for that I apologize.

But again, please watch your language and behavior.

Well...

Thank you Ryu for bringing that to my attention. I owe you a great debt in life. Because of you I have become a greater person in this world. In fact I am going to get a bible right now and then I'm going to church first thing tommorow morning and then......(this takes the cake!)I am going to quit my job, quit boxing, and just hang around at my house and get on the internet all day and post messages on NHB message boards on how I can change the world with my philosophical teachings (like some people I know). After all that I am going to join the priest hood and try to become the next pope.
