Are you refering to the Iron sand palm I saw in a documentery?

Involved coating the palm in rust. Completely pointless and probably prevents you from doing other things, the guy who did it was a little bit crazy, he also did head conditioning and kept palm striking walls on his way up the stairs.

No rust just palm condititioning, i saw a guy break a coconut with the back of his hand and he was at least like 60

To paraphrase Bruce Lee, coconuts don't hit back. I suppose its useful if you're on a desert island and don't have a machette or something.

I know, but in internal MA like Ba Gua and some Hsing-I you fight with your open palms even wing chun.

Iron palm is an interesting idea, but do you really want to risk arthritis after years of hand calcification and joint damage. Fine motor skills are still important later in life.

You have to weigh the risks I guess.
