  • Iron Mike, Lewis and Tua

You know, I heard all this smack spouted by boxing people of how devistating Tua was.

I only saw clips of the guy throwing his only punch, a left hook into a lunk in front of him.

    What a joke.

Iron Mike would crack that mother****er's head off before he even thought of throwing his only punch, a left hook that would miss.

He's a scrub fighter. God bless him and his family, I wish the man no wrong, but for Christ's sake, he had his chance and he abandoned his chance at winning. He ****ing gave up. He pondered and posed, and followed and would not throw a single punch.

Oh...sorry...I forgot that amateurish left hook, the only meaningful punch given each round.

Mike Tyson will ****ing trash that smug, Lewis so severely, it will look like a charred body on Death Highway in Iraq - a stiff, dead arm reaching tight with clutching, taloned fingers to absolutely nothing.

    What a punk-ass heavyweight fight.

Lewis, you'd better pray Iron Mike don't step into the ring with you, 'cause bruddah, you going to count the ceiling lights in that miasma of knock out hell...lifted up by your corner men, ready for the trip to the hospital.

Can I have some of what your smoking?

Tyson destroy Lewis? HA! Tyson is an over the hill bully. Lewis will not be intimidated by Scrap Iron Mike and thats his only shot of winning. Do you think Tyson has Tua's chin? Not a chance in hell. Do you think Tyson will come in as good of shape as Tua? Give me a break. I want you guys to keep talking about how Tyson is going to beat Lewis, then I want you all to comeback on this forum and make a public apology to me. Also I want my fuzzy white ass kissed by each and everyone of you.

          Yo Bird,

We all know about Tyson's diminished skills, so a win by Lewis ain't out of the realm of possibility. For the sake of boxing I hope that Tyson puts such a beating on Lewis that he never steps into the ring again.

Not for anything, but Lewis fights like he was trained at the Lady Windsor Charm School for Boys.

          At least Tyson fights.

          Go Iron Mike!

Didn't Lewis do really well against Holyfield??
I mean he did beat him without biting!

            How were the Lewis/Holyfield fights?

              LOL, yeah right....

Tyson is just a right handed version of Tua....with a little more power....but his age is evident

how do you think Tyson would be able to get in on Lewis....he couldnt ge past Lewis's jab and he would be exploited....he would pay dearly for his sloppiness

Lewis never gets the credit he deserves and people continue to praise Tyson.....

Lewis would make Tyson eat jabs all night and do away with him just like he did away with every other top heavyweight out there....the thing that would make Tyson loose more convincingly is that he would be way more aggressive than Tua trying to get inside and he would get KOed trying to get inside.....Tua was too afraid to get inside and Tyson cant do SH*T unless he's inside.....thats why Tua didnt get KOed....Tyson would

Yeah, I think you guys are engaging in wishful thinking.

I'm not a fan of either fighter (loved Holyfield), but Lewis' jab plus his reach, is too good for Tyson. Even if he doesn't get KO'd, Lewis will win another easy decision.

In the old days, this would have been a good fight. It could have gone either way. I don't think Tyson has been the same fighter since the Douglas fight. Douglas proved he could be beaten.

I agree that Tyson has a little less than a 50/50% chance of beating Lewis.

However, Big Bird's praise of both Lewis and Tua is laughable IMO. Lewis is a gutless, hollow "Champion." Tua is a one-dimentional, over-hyped pug with one trick and if that fails he fails.

Maybe Tua's chin wouldn't have been so great had he ever faced anyone of note. To say Tyson's chin is less than Tua's is a riot. Tyson's chin is better, and it's been tested against better competition.

Had Tua faced the Holyfield that showed up for Tyson, he would have been dissected and deposited on the canvas, and in an uglier way than Tyson was.

The only reason Holyfield lost to Lewis was the fact the referees don't do their job anymore, and allow cowardly fighters to get away with holding. Did you know holding is technically a FOUL?!!? It is. But nowadays holding is considered part of a "strategy" ... but in reality it is an act of cowardice and submission, preventing a better man from doing what BOTH are paid to do and that is THROW PUNCHES.

If Lewis would have had points taken away for holding, as he should have, he would have lost. You think they would have let Evander or Tua low blow ten times a round? Hell no. But they let Lewis hold ten times a round or more. This is called lazy reffing.

If Lewis beat Tyson, it wouldn't be by outfighting him, but it would be via the same way he "defeated" Holyfield. By NOT fighting and taking advantage of lazy refs who allow the unmanly practice of poking and holding, poking and holding ... until the final bell rings.

Now if any of you want to applaud that kind of silliness as "being skilled" or "really winning" a fight, go ahead. But those of us who have seen real fighters in real fights just want to vomit.

I know you guys are knowledegeable about boxing with all your fight experience so I must agree with you. Lewis shouldnt have taken advantage of his reach and layed around on the inside against a shorter man. Screw working the jab and boxing the ears off a shorter opponent, just go inside and bang against a fighter that is 6inches shorter than you. Thats what you guys did when you were fighting, right?

I agree with you that Lewis fights smart, but I also agree with the other guys that he seems to lack killer instinct.

I dunno. It's not like I have the guts to get into the ring with guys like that. Lewis just seems a little tentative. Maybe he lacks power.

He is definetly not lacking in killer instinct or power. He never let Briggs,Morrison or anyone else off the hook. He has tremendous power. Ask yourself this question. If you can stay on the outside all night and have an easy time, pop a few jabs, bang him with the right hand, why go try and take someone out? Hell I would coast for 12 rounds retain my title and say screw everyone. The fact of the matter is Lewis is alot like Larry Holmes no one appreciates him for how good he is. If you guys dont think he is good look at all the money Tyson paid him when he was champion so he wouldnt have to fight him.

Good point. It's not like guys like Holyfield or Tua are easy to put away by any means.

I DO hope that Lewis hammers Tyson into oblivion though - if Tyson has the guts to face him.
