Who is your pick to win the next pride event!? I myself am picking Saku if he can get past Silva. If not, I would say it's anyone's' game. Although I want Saku to win (cause I love the way he fights) I wouldn't mind seeing Chucking winning. Bringing the belt to the USA would start a firestorm of rivalries that could possibly infuse (to a small part) more interest in MMA over here. Maybe even bring it to a more mainstream level. Well, we can hope at least...

Man, I can't wait to see this one..

1) Alitair Overeem is an up and comer, but Lidell I think can take him down. I'm not a massive fan of Lidell's fighting style, but he is very classy and respectful of other fighters and never trash talks. I like the way he conveys himself, rather than how he fights.

2) Oh man, I can't wait to see Arona rip Jackson to hell.. I can't stand Jackson at all.. I swear, if I hear him say "Know what I'm sayin'" one more time in an interview, I'm gonna have to strangle someone with some piano wire..

3) I have a tremendous respect for Sakuraba's toughness and he's very entertaining, but Silva is an animal in the ring, and very difficult to beat, so I'll have to go with Silva on this one.

4) Not absolutly positive who these guys are, and I don't really think it matters as I doubt either of them will make it past the second round..


5) Now this should be a good fight, Cro-Cop is one of the best strikers I've ever seen in MMA, with incredible take down defense, but Igor can be VERY persistant with his take downs. I say if Cro-Cop can keep it standing, he'll win, but if goes down, Igor's got the upper hand.

!?!? You don't know Emelianko Fedor or Gary Goodridge? Fedor being the Heavyweight Champion, and Goodridge being a fairly large name? Either way, Fedor is a complete machine and is the best wrestler I've seen, with massively damaging strikes on the ground.. Goodridge, from what I remember (Don't quote me on this.. ), is mostly a boxer, and I personally don't really think he stands much of a chance against the Russian killing machine..

7) I personally think Ricco's a bit of a pretty boy and doesn't really care much for fighting as he does for promoting fights and getting money. He's skilled.. just not nearly skilled enough to be Nogueira.
