    Just got Done Watching Pride.
My Thoughts Were it was a Great Show.
1 of the Best in it's History.

I shead My Tears for Sak He will go down
in History as a Great Fighter but it's time to call it a Day.

Chuck Did Great,Feador Was Awsome, Mikcrow Had a Big Bang
    Yoshida Had a Nice Choke.

And Ricco Got Screwed He Had The Better Takedowns.
He Performed Ground & Pound to The T.

Nog. Had Some Good Moments & i Think he is a Great Fighterter
But Ricco Owned Him in That Fight.
I Love Pride & even think it has Better Shows Than The UFC
    But They diserve a Big
    -err
    Look Farward to The Finals

I really like Nog, but how the hell did he win that!? He should not have one. And...why Saku!? Why did you try to stand up with him for so long? Did you feel as though you had something to prove???

I agree it was a great show.

I think Rico won as well even though I think Noguera is a great fighter. A friend of mine mentioned something about in pride heavyweight devion the weight diffrence gives the advantage to the smaller man when scoring? I dunno..

My boy The Iceman was awesome! He got stunned for just a second and then went off like the true pitbull he is..You almost saw his eyes light up when he conected and his opponent stumbled.

As for Sakuraba....What can I say...he had to perfect chances to drop silva to the ground but he wanted to stand with him. I think like heel hook said he had something to prove. But regardless, I don't care who you are, how good you are, if you get hit with that exact punch that Sak got hit witn... You going down just like Sak did no question about it. That was one of the most solid punches I have seen in awhile right on the jaw.

As far as Quinton "Rampage" Jackson goes.... If I had to hear him ramble one more time about Mother Fer this, and Mother Fer that and NoWhatImSayin? I was gonna flip out..

      Yoshida's sleeve choke was classic..

      So we have

      Yoshida
      Jackson
      Silva
      Liddel.

All and all the next round is going to be a war...after last night I think it is anyones game!

      LETS GO ICEMAN!!!

My question is, how the hell wouldn't Nogueria win that fight? There wasn't a single moment in the fight where I thought he might lose, whereas Ricco was in some sticky situations a few times, i.e. being on the brink of submission.

I give him credit for being able to stay out of EXTREMELY dangerous positions, like Nog's triangle choke and the like, but he still only gave nothing but pot shots the entire time. The closest he came to finishing the fight was when he landed a solid knee that didn't really have a massive effect on Nog, but you could see he felt it.

Now Pride judges are to judge the fight as entirity and give the fight to the man who is trying to finish the fight more than the other, and without a question, Nogueira was the one who was trying to finish the fight, whereas Ricco was just doing a ground and pound that had little power. Ricco's punches were not knockout power, he was throwing punches that you throw when you're trying to set up something big, but he never threw that big one.. so obviously Nogueira is the right decision.

I have to agree with the Pride Judges.

I also believe that Bustamante should've gotten the victory in his fight, but to a lesser degree. Jackson did well in the last two rounds to stay out of trouble, but didn't do anything extremely impressive while standing. In the first round, Bustamante had him on the ropes and almost had him beat multiple times, and if Jackson had tied up his shorts, I believe Jackson would be on the losing end of the fight right now. The reason Jackson fell down in the guillatine was becuase he could not physically stand anymore, he was in the process of passing out, which is not a good sign.

He also came very close to being put into an arm bar, and did well to escape that, regardless of Bustmante's great technique. But he still lacked the capability of ending the fight. Bustamante's stand up defense seemed to be more than able to withstand what Jackson was throwing at him. If that's not a win, I don't know what is.

Ricco destroyed Nog. Nog Had some Great attempts
But Got Grounded & Pounded I think Nog is a Great Fighter.
He could not Handel Ricco on The Feat Not cuold he stop the Take down or Even get a Submisson.

Ricco Jumped Ship to the UFC & Pride Screwed him for it
              Just Like They Screwd Royce.

And the 10kilo Rule was not inafect & has not been since
              The Last Grand Prix.
Watch the Fight again Look at Nog. at the End His face tells all
He new he was out gunned.

If anything Ricco proved He is still 1 of the Best & i think
Danna White should give him a Shot at Syliva's titel.

I want to say That Nog. is with out a dout a Great Fighter
But he nows in his Heart he did not win that Fight.

Luchador, I think you're trying to score these bouts as if they were boxing matches... The amount of punches landed really doesn't matter much, if at all. The fight is supposed to be given to the competitor who tries to end the fight. Ricco's apparant Ground and Pound technique was lacking the knock out power you need to use to win fights by decision. Emilienko Fedor's ground and pound can win decisions because he rocks opponents. They become dazed. Ricco was agressive, and he did well to stay on top of Nogueira and stay out of submissions, but if that's all it takes to win a fight, then I'll just train nothing but submission defence and stand up defence and defend every fight.

Again, I never thought Nogueira was on the brink of losing the fight. However, he was on the brink of winnning the fight a few times, and thus that shows he was trying to end the fight moreso than Ricco.

I Used a Leg Lock to Win My MMA Fight in Combat Zone
I've Use Arm & Leg Submissons as Well as Chokes
                    in Kumite Ju Jitsu.

I Do Like Boxing & Kickboxing & practise both.

Ricco Swept Nog 3 Times in The Fight he escaped
Every Submisson Attept & uesd Ground & pound to netrualise
                    The Guard.

In Stand up He Landed more effective Shots with the Hands
Used Flying knees & hard Low Kicks.

Check out Sherdog, Martial Talk & Martial Arts Planet.
Im not the only one Who Feels Ricco was ripped off.

Ricco beat Nog at every stage of the Game.
I was the only Guy at the Pride Party i went to Voteing
for Ricco at The End of the Fight Before The Dis.

                    Evreyone agreed Ricco 1.

This Party Had Wrestlers, Ju jitsu Guy's & strikers

Most People said before the Fight Ricco could not Hang
With Nog,that He would be Submitted in the 1st Round.

But Ricco Beat Nog. By SUBMISSON in Abu Dahbi
Which i feel gave him a termendis advategde.

I am also a Fan of Nog. But i judge Fights
on evrything & call it like it is.

Pride Screwed Ricco & thats a fact.
What i can't belive was i heard Matt Hume was a Judge
This Dis has given me an ill feeling in The Martial Arts com.

I personally think Ricco fought a better fight then Nogueira, but by the rules of Pride and how they score bouts, Norgueira fought to win, where as Ricco just fought to stop Nogueira from winning. He never actually put forth an effort to finish the fight.

He was able to take the Fight to the Ground at will.
He used a Ground & pound Stratagy.

Lets Not Forget that he Submitted Nog With an Arm Lock At
                          Abu Dahbi.

Ricco Jumped Ship to the UFC a Few Years Back
Pride Gave him the Shaft for it.

that is your opinion... people have different ones.. so don't call it a fact, beacause it isn't.. you have to learn that most things aren't facts.. very, very few things can be considered a 'fact' and especially in the mma-world.. so tone it a bit down.. you don't think nog won, others think he did.. so fscking what..

don't look back, the road might turn and you'll end up in the wrong place.. :P so.. get over it!
