    Hey guyz,

I have taken TKD for about 1 year and i was just wondering how to practice accuracy with kicks..... i ask because in order to advance at my level i have to start breaking boards and if you don't have the accuracy then u don't got the break....

    peace all

If you cant kicka bloody great big board by now in a purely kicking system i would kive up.

Hang a Tennis ball on a piece of string.

Then quit TKD cos its crap.

then i am talking about kicking a board i am talking doing 360 back kick which is used to hit ppl rushing in..... and why would u say tkd is crap..... this is no such thing as a crap style....... It is all how you train....... Do you repect karate practioners?? TKD came from karate......... don't make fun of a martial art until you fully understand the history

Well....TKD is crap....LOL!!! I know I am a black belt. But, having said that not too many people realize that TKD was designed as a sport to raise awareness to martial arts. Which it has suceeded since you can find McDojo's EVERYWHERE. So all in all TKD is a good thing. Although, don't think that it will save you in a fight against an experienced martial artist. I still see TKD black belts kicking with their hands all over the place

It's different than jiujitsu because they simply don't focus on throws other than take downs and because they emphasize ground fighting more than anything else. Go to your nearest barnes and nobles and find the book "the gracie way" in the sports section. It'll give you the history of BJJ and why/how it was formed.
