Oh, I see, it was a very bad break then. Know what I would do, is contact a personal trainer and explain to him exactly what is wrong with you.
Speak to your doctor and ask him what he thinks and hell, ask him about a trainer or some kind of PT program if needed. You can over come this, but it might just take time.

PS: You would be amazed how resilient your body is, my friend.

PSS: And take Jiu Jitsu, not that I am a GJJ guy or anything.

i had like 8-10 months of pt for my legs, they actually hurt when i ran too much at first when i first started training, but now i really dont have any problems with them anymore. Im just wondering how they would hold up for kicking and severe stuff like that. Yea bjj is nice but the only thing is im 15 and i get boners for no reason all the time and i mean for no reason so im scared i might get one while sparring which would be utterly disgusting and embarassing.

Well i must have fallen into both catagories because mine has a massive amount of callis over my break.

        hashpuppet:
You must have been very unlucky because i had the option of pins & screws the day after my break which i chose to have & have healed great for me & the only trouble i have is with the lower screws which i had removed to loosen up ankle but the scar has lots of nerves at the surface which when i touch send tingles down through my foot but no pain.

since my bones are still growing, i couldnt have the thing you had, mine was on the outside of my leg.

The tingling thing is probably some form of nerve damage, i used to have it to and still do in some areas, it should heal some eventually but in kickboxing a lot of people work for weakened nevers in the legs so you can kick without pain anyways.

Yeah but be carefull kicking if you got dead nerves as these were there for a reason which is to tell you when your hurting.

This was one of my biggest failings in MA as iv'e always been able to kick so hard without feedback that i could split my shin open and not notice until someone pointed out my red anklets due to the lack of or deepened nerves which i had all my life, i remember always banging things with my shins when i was a kid and never felt a thing, drove people mad when i practiced shin blocks & never lost.

"Hey man nice fight but your left leg actually fell off just now"

I'd like to know that if boxing is so disadvantageous in fights then how come Victor Belfort f*cks everyone up in UFC.

Try tai chi, Its relaxing and if used correctly fatal, so is jeet kune do, shorin- ryu, and kung-fu. Find out what makes you feel comfortable.

I don't see how tai chi could be fatal....Take a thai chi guy and put him up against a muay thai fighter and he'll get his leg broken and it's over. I'm sure tai chi is good again'st tae kwon doe though. And don't get me wrong, I believe in energy and have practiced with it before but it's just not effective in comparison

thai chi when done at speed is apparently a useful martial art i have seen it done b4 but i wouldn't chance it in a fight unless it was mixed with something else
