Still trying to verify. (Thats why I called it a rumor. Too many people hungar for his return to state facts and not look like an ass if wrong) If you like, I can give you a link to the forum I got it off of. Nothing concrete.

            Sure thing, young lady.

I have the same handle there as here. No one answered my question and somehow the thread turned into Tyson Vs Rickson. The reason I have a thread of hope is the way it is matter-of-fact stated.

I know Rodrigo Gracie is fighting in Japan in December... is it possible that they've got him confused with Rickson?

No, but he is fighting. There are a bunch of Gracies fighting soon in Prides Bushido event. The fight card for that looks awsome. There is a deal going on between Japan and the Gracie family (more or less).

According to Royler the line up could be:
                Renzo
                Ryan
                Daniel
                Rodrigo
And a remote possibility of Rickson join the team. (More hype?)

                From the Japanese:
                Hayato Sakurai
                Akira Shoji
                Kazuhiro Nakamura
                Daiju Takase
                Rumina Sato
                And others to be named?

Personally, I would love to see Royce in this as well (even if other members of this board have the ridiculous notion that he can't compete anymore) to top off the family tree.
Problem is though, Pride is notorious for screwing over non Japanese fighters (Hm, Royce Vs Yoshida comes to mind) and I don't see Royce in this unless they make some serious bargaining posturing.
But, who knows. Pride truly wants Gracies in events to bolster up the fights. Ryron and Rener have both told me that Pride seems to call every three months asking if they are ready to fight yet. From what I take, this happens like clock work even though Rorion has told them they won't be ready for at least two years.
Whatever the card may turn out to be, it will be littered with Gracies and will be most enjoyable. Win or lose, I like seeing my art performed by the masters of it. I am excited to see this and can only hope that everyone else is as well!

PRIDE deffinatly wants Gracies...it is being said that the whole "Confrontation" Between Renzo and Takada at the last PRIDE when Renzo stood up and basically said..."I am ready to go I will fight all these guys, my family want's to be represented in the tourny" That was basically to draw more publicity for Bushido, since Renzo had already been in talks to compete there.

This is what I heard for a card.

                    Royler Gracie vs. D. Mishima

                    Renzo Gracie vs. Hayato Sakurai

                    Kazuhiro Hamanaka vs. Rodrigo Gracie

                    Daiju Takase vs. Ryan Gracie

But they are still in talks so nothing is final.

as far as my opinion as a martial art couch potato,
Rickson is the most unknown fighter in the pst 10 yrs.
