  • Ken Shamrock in UFC

    Question:

Who's the guy who beat Ken Shamrock in a recent UFC fight? I just saw a clip that my friend had downloaded, but I'm damned if I could remeber that guy's name. Pat-something? Anyway, I've heard that he's kind of a punk and I'm looking forward to when the next up-and-comer will beat him.

(BTW -- I'm new on here and hope I haven't broken any protocols. Sorry in advance if I have.)

Well, since no one else seems to be answering you... his name is Tito Ortiz.

PS: Oh, and he is a punk.

      Maybe, but he dominated Shamrock.

Eh...there is no maybe about it to me, he is a disrespectful punk who doesn't care about other fighters in general. Aside from that....................yeah, he beat the hell out of Shamrock.

        Poor old guy.

It made me very sad to see Shamrock's face all pulped after that fight. Granted I repect anyone for winning one of those, but Ortiz (thanks) is just younger and has more energy & endurance. At least that's how it looked.

Yea he's disrespectful but not as bad as he started out. And once the grudge has begun, it dosen't just go away.

And he's earned his respect in the ring. He's come a long way "as a fighter" and that alone amonts to something.

Very true. I myself (along with a lot of other people) think he isn't that great a fighter. However, what I think makes him so good is he trains so damn hard. He comes into a fight ready at 110% and gives it 120%. He trains like a machine and it shows.

I can't wait to see what happens tonight between him and Randy, who is a spectacular wrestler.

                  .
I suppose, but look how it started. He beat a lions din guy, disrespected him while he was still hurting and than flips off Shamrock... and for what reason?

He is the bearer of his own kismet.

Aside from the fact that Tito is punk, he's a phenomenal athlete. The guy was a first class wrestler in college. His attitude is a reflection of his workouts with Tank Abbot out of college. That, and he's beaten some guys from the Lion's Den in Collegiate wrestling.

But yeah.... Ken Shamrock got the sh#t beat out of him. I think both guys wanted the fight, because they knew the national attention it would get, plus the big payroll... That's Tito's big thing. He's in it for the money, whereas some guys like Silva just love to fight.

Didn't that fight take place almost a year ago?

I seeeee, thank you though. Hm, I thought it was tonight from the way my buddy Im'ed me about watching it. Even though I want to see the fight, I am unsure if I will actualy get it. I am not so much a UFC fan. There is only so much ground and pound I can stomach in one night.
