  • This is how i did at the Machado no-gi challenge!!!

I got 1st place!!!But dont asume i beat everybody. It was a 3-way tie for 1st place,in a couple of days they should post the results at http://www.machadojj.com about the tournament.I was in the kids division (Heavy). If they show pictures of the medals(Which i think they will) i am the one with black hair in the white gi with no patches.Or just look who Carlos has his right arm around.(Carlos is very cool!!!).

    I won my 1st fight with a armlock inside 2 minuts.Ummmmmm......

now my 2nd fight.I shot in and was mounted very inside 5 seconds.I rolled him off and was in his guard.I got posture to pass his guard and he gi choked me.......OUT COLD.I new how to escape from it but i just didn't do it.I slumped over and the ref stopped the fight. My opponent rolled out and i fell straight down.I was out for like 15 seconds and regained consisious.I didnt know where i was for like 5 seconds but the ref was standing me up saying "You went out.You went out."I didnt know what he was talking about and i was confused because people were cheering because i woke up.I had no idea what they were cheering for so that didnt help.He was very good and a green belt from louisvill Texas. After that in my next fight he was cheering for me.I thanked him later and he was pretty cool.

For my 3rd fight,Against a yellow belt that had at least 25-30lbs. on me.He shot in and i went for the gullitine choke. He didnt take me down,I was standing up with my legs wrapped around him choking.I put my foot down and tried a sweep but he fell on me and i rolled him over and mounted him.4-Points says Carlos(He was reffing that fight.)I thought he was giving me his back then i found out he wasnt so i went for a quick armlock and didnt get.We scrambled around for about 5 minuts. He was more tired than me but i was tired. We grappled and he just FLUNG me too the mat 2-Points says Carlos. He thought he was ahead on points and so did i because he had better positions throughout the match.Westood up(He was stalling.Carlos even warned him about.)Time was about to run about run out,So i put my shin in his stomach fell back and went for a armlock......And got it!Time up.He was about to tap when time ren out.I thought i lost the match when Carlso raised my hand.I won 4-2 on points. The person in my 3rd fight beat the guy in my 2nd fight so we were all 2-1.

      Congrats, Martial Artist! You're impressive!

I had the priviledge of working with Carlos Machado for about a year. He's amazing, and a very cool guy, I agree.

                              Right on, MA! Congrats!

I'm just surprised that they would allow you to continue competing after getting choked out cold.....especially being as young as you are.

I haven't been to many BJJ tournies, but in my judo tournaments they'd prevent guys from playing the next match.

Nevertheless, it's always good to bring home the trophy!

                              Keep it up!
