*sigh* Brazilian jiu-jitsu came from Japanese judo/jujitsu which is why many of the moves are similar. However, most modern judokas practice more standup grappling than ground grappling, which is the main difference between modern judo and BJJ.

Statements about one art being "superior" to another are pretty hollow and meaningless, when 99% of the artform versus another depends on the fighter, not the art.
Any totally objective statement like that is really hard to prove, maybe impossible. Each has their own effective values, and I don't believe that anything, be it martial art, type of music, religion, or anything else is objectively "superior" or better or anything else.

except in this case is very easily proven.
Judo was doing leg locks ankle locks etc, over one hundred years ago.
No way gracie's invented any of it .
Now they don't even know the modern throwing methods.
No comparison.

Correct me if i'm wrong (and it wouldn't be the first time) but wasn't ju jitsu used by the samurai in japan for hand to hand combat and then after that judo was formed. As well as many variation of ju jitsu have been formed. All with a different purpose...
If this is correct or at least certain parts of it then how can u claim that ju jitsu is a rip off of judo when ju jitsu was around b4 judo? and they are 2 different things judo is a sport/fighting system mostly from my knowledge and ju jitsu is just a fighting system and i don't really think than n e one martial art can be better than another in every aspect so i don't really think u should be saying one is better than another

Well, Judo and BJJ aside, I think you've definitley demonstrated that using caps-lock is a superior way of getting your single-sided view conveyed.

NOT ALL JUDO PEOPLE SUSCRIBE TO THE TIME WORN ARGUMENTS OF CLASSICAL JUDO TEACHING DOCTRINE AND THEREFORE DON'T TRY TO LAY CLAIM TO TO ANY KIND OF FIGHTING METHOD.
I THINK THAT THE TEST IN MODERN jUIJITSU OR EVEN GRACIE JUIJITSU WOULD BE ANY KIND OF ADHERANCE ON BOWING AS "SHOWING RESPECT"!
THIS KIND OF SUPPLICATION IS INDICATIVE OF A CLOSED MIND AND THE GRASPING AT STRAWS RELIANCE ON OLD FASHIONED AND OUTDATED LEFTOVER RELIGOUS DOCTRINE .
AND IT WOULD SHOW JUST AS THE EXCLUSION OF THROWING METHODS, THE UTTER FAILURE YO MODERNIZE THE THINKING PROCESSES.
IN OTHER WORDS PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THAT GRACIE JUIJITSU OF MIXED MARTIAL ARTS HAS ANYTHING THAT VAUGELY RESEMBLES BOWING.
Can someone tell me the point KG's trying to make?

I believe his point is to discredit Gracie JJ, saying that it is just a cheap, disrespectful, knock-off of traditional Judo (ala, pointing out that BJJ people don't bow, and neglect areas of Judo that he feels are crucial and traditional).
