            • Empirical method is generally taken to mean the collection of data on which to base a theory or derive a conclusion in science. - Wikipedia

Dude, the creator of this post asks for people's opinion the subject, and you follow up with a smart ass comment looking for statistical evidence. Come on. It seems to me like your just trying to be a dick. No one has Empirical Evidence, including you, these posts are just people's opinions.

Then you take part of my responses and quote them, conveinently leaving out the parts that answer your questions.

I'll state my answer again. I based the word "best" off of my experience training in such arts, and under the guidelines of being a no holds barred, anything goes STREET SELF DEFENSE ART.

              Satisfied?

Ok, so you have 'used' "JKD, or Krav Maga, or even Silat" and several other approaches/arts/whatever in separate STREET SELF DEFENSE situations where you used each one in turn exclusively in a given situation to respond to essentially identical situations such that you can make any kind of reasonable comparison?

                • Thanks for making my point.

Sorry man, but I just don't want to waste my time having an arguement with an overgrown child on the Internet. I'm not responding to you anymore.

I think he is simply asking for things FEW can make CLEAR.

The virtual medium leaves a great deal to perception.

                      Does it not?

                            • Silat and judo - good combo, Tant.

I'm thinking silat/kali is a good combination for someone with a muaythai background. Both arts are weapon-based and they compliment the hardness of muaythai.

                              • it is always good in theory to combine a great offense art with a great defense art, but at the same time, it can be said that the best form is no form. i think it just comes down to personal preference at the end of the day.
