Would Bruce Lee win UFC fights had he been still alive and willing to compete?

imho
Kung Fu does not teach grappling/ground fighting: because, generally, the biggest man will win..they say,"you don't wanna end up on the ground -don't go there".
If some big person want's to fight and will not listen then a decisive nasty strike is needed to finish them(requiring much skill/ball's)..otherwise the tough dude will ground and pound.
Of course I would like to see "how" Bruce Lee would achieve this- but it would not be pretty eough for T.V.
Those who compete do not love-durrrr...

Looking at Bruce Lee in a realistic point of view (since I am not on the Bruce Lee bandwagon but on the other hand I also am not a basher or skeptic either), Bruce in his 60's would not be a good idea to fight these young, huge, ground and pounders.
To the people who think Bruce Lee was just an actor and not a real fighter, that thought process is corrupt and ignorant. Bruce Lee was a fighter more than an actor. Brandon Lee was an actor more than a fighter. It is documented that Bruce Lee had alot of real street fights. How tough were the opponents? Not sure because we don't know anything about the street thugs that challenged him on the set where he was filming. The point is, all of the thugs were defeated and there is proof of these occurances. Bruce Lee was far better than the normal martial artist at that time. Would he be able to succeed in MMA events? No idea because being in his 60's he would not be where he was in his prime and we cannot intelligently gauge what he would know by his 60's or where he would be physically. Maybe he wouldn't even be competing, maybe he would seek more pleasure in training other people to fight in MMA events and not himself be competing?
Bruce Lee definitely would be into the MMA scene because he liked to incorporate everything that worked even if it was from a far away foreign country. Bruce Lee even went to Thailand to watch thier Muay Thai matches so he could learn about these deadly elbow and knee combinations that he heard about. Bruce Lee would learn anything that works that he didn't already know. Bruce had the spirit of MMA in him while everyone else was leaping around doing thier kata and screaming "AIYA AIYA" and punching the air for thier colorful belts. He even knew a bit about the groundfighting (Judo) from Taky Kimura (who used to train with Bruce Lee in the back yard). In my martial arts photo collection, I have pics of Bruce Lee with Taky Kimura and Bruce actually has a Japanese Gi on.
The main reason I posted to this thread was because the bashing of Bruce Lee is ignorant since you obviously don't know the truth of his skills. He was definitely a martial artist more than an actor and said this before. Forgive me if I have posted something someone else said, I didn't take the time to read every page of this thread because it got pretty stale with all of the hating going on.
Bruce in his prime would most likely try out the MMA events because he was definitely into proving what works and what doesn't work. I think he would do better if it was a real street fight because putting rules on Bruce Lee would just hamper his abilities (since he was more of a poke your eyes, kick your groin, knife-hand your throat type person). In Bruce's prime he would do ok in MMA events but in his 60's that would be a bad idea to take on people who are in top shape and outweigh him by 100 LBS of lean muscle and have been drilling all of the latest, effective, techniques.
So as I see it, Bruce in his prime would do ok in MMA. Bruce as a senior citizen could get severly injured in MMA and wouldn't be a good idea to take on our top competitors (Picture Bruce in his 60's against Wanderlei Silva or Mirko "Crocop". The results could be disgusting). Bruce in a street fight could still whoop my or your butt with his reflexes and skill if he were still alive today most likely (Since we spend so much time arguing on the internet and Bruce would be up training his skills right now).

If he was actually living during these times then you would have to consider the differences that would actually occur with him. First he wouldn't be in movies because kung fu fight movies aren't made today w/a few exceptions. So he would probley be more in to competetive fighting. Why? So he could make mma more popular and spread knowledge and stuff like the Gracies do. He would also do it to teach they bad boy guys a lesson in respect and respect for their martial arts and for other people. His striking is way to good. He is way to fast. He is way to accurate. How is someone going to close the gap? Even if a charging rhino came after him he would just throw some strike to the head of it and it would be out cold and it would look really cool and he would do some yell as he delivered the blow.

Yeah! And then he would probably make some cool gurgling sounds as he coughed up this last bloody breath!
So cool!

This thread "had" the potential to be an intelligent discussion but I guess the internet world shuns mature behavior. So on that note I would like to say.....
SUPERMAN WOULD OWN MIGHTY MOUSE IN A MMA MATCH AND JOHN MCCARTHY IS FAT KTHX LOLOLZ!!!!11

-No one is comparing a 60 year old Bruce here.
-Bruce is the best striker of all time, unless there was someone better in unrecorded history.
-No one in alive today has the speed anywhere near him. So they couldn't defend against his strikes.
-He would often have fights where the first punch or kick would be the KO.

Why do I get the feeling your Bruce Lee posters all have unnatural holes in them?

Why are people so against the best. There were a lot of you people during Michael Jordans reign as well. Why do you have a hard time accepting that one person is the best of all time? It's not like you are ever going to come close to his abilities. The next Bruce Lee? Well I am sure there does exist a better fighter on some other planet though.
